Melissa Broy Fortson – (BTU Member, Director, Actor, ASoB President) is thrilled to be a part of bringing more people from every part of Maryland into the theater. She has been a part of community and professional theaters for over 40 years. She is a former Equity New York City actress, and has worked in Harford County, Baltimore County, and Baltimore City since she was 8 years old. She prides herself on being able to “see outside the box” and casting people in roles based on skill, as much as the desire to work. Our theater is billed as “Theater for everyone” because we not only welcome audience members and supporters from every background and age, but also encourage the participation of and seek those who are interested in being a part of theater in any way, be that on stage or backstage. Eliyahu is a local voice teacher and music director returning to Artistic Synergy of Baltimore in this dream show after music directing Goosebumps, playing Charlemagne in PIPPIN, Canon Pennefather in MURDER ON THE NILE, Pirate King in PIRATES OF PENZANCE, and performing in the SHOOT FOR THE STARS Cabaret. Recent credits include music directing YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN (Third Wall Productions), AVENUE Q (Ovations theatre), GYPSY (Ovations theatre), WILLY WONKA, and co-music directing URINETOWN (Ovations theatre). Audrey plays pit orchestras around the DC/MD/VA community theatre circuit and is happy to be playing with ASOB Sweeney Todd! 

Started playing the cello 5 1/2 years ago, and practiced homework daily at the County Courthouse on breaks near the prisoner lockup. Continuing lessons and cello journey and now play in pit orchestras for theatre productions.
