The mission of WHS Viking Theatre is to provide WHS students with opportunities to develop their acting, directing, singing, dancing, musical and technical theater skills through live performance and high quality stage productions. WHS Viking Theatre provides students instruction and experience in collaborative work and self-discipline while developing individual leadership skills. WHS Viking Theatre instills the concepts of creative self-expression, professionalism and self-growth. WHS Viking Theatre fosters an appreciation of theater and its creative process by WHS students and the greater Winfield community. We invite and encourage parent and community involvement and participation as we strive to provide a formative experience for WHS students. Students leaving a four-year theatre education at Winfield High School will be prepared for any further collegiate and professional training, and be a well-rounded theatrical audience member.
