The aracoma story inc.
The Aracoma Story Inc. is a 501 C-3 nonprofit Community Theatre organization located in the heart of the West Virginia coalfields, Logan, WV. Our home theater, The Liz Spurlock Amphitheatre, is located in the beautiful Chief Logan State Park. TAS, as we call ourself, got our start in 1952 with the first production of The Aracoma Story, a historical drama about the life and death of Shawnee Chief Cornstalk's daughter Aracoma, and we've evolved into one of West Virginia's most recognized theatrical companies. What makes The Aracoma Story Inc. stand out from the rest is our TAS ORIGINAL historical productions, written by local authors about heroes and legends-the history that made West Virginia famous. TAS succeeds through the love, dedication, and hard work of our extremely talented cast and crew as well as through the artistic visions of our diversly experienced Board of Directors. Most of our Board members have been part of the TAS family for thirty years and more. We're not just co-chairs and cast-mates, we're family; and, TAS Inc. isn't just a theatre company-it's HOME.
