SUNRISE THEATRE COMPANY

Almost a year into the COVID-19 pandemic, Sunrise Theatre Company was founded in Topeka, Kansas, by Nathan Short in great partnership with ArtsConnect Topeka. The goal behind the founding was and continues to be presenting new, exciting, powerful, modern scripts to the Topeka Community. Endeavoring to include original and experimental pieces, Sunrise has presented numerous productions as a company and in partnership with other local organizations. Sunrise continues to remain forward-thinking and inclusive in our endeavors and wants to present high quality, professional theatrical experiences.

MISSION STATEMENT

Sunrise Theatre Company engages, inspires, entertains, and challenges Topeka audiences with productions that range from classical to new works; we educate audiences and artists through works that are provocative, insightful, and challenging; we provide opportunities to all for creative expression, whether it be writing, performing, building, or otherwise; we celebrate the power of the theatre to provide clarity and hope to all.
