Josh Astle (He/Him) (Igor- A Cast)
Josh is very excited for his debut at the Ziegfeld theater. He has been in over 30 musicals and playing kooky characters like igor bring him joy. You may have seen him at other theaters in roles like Uncle Festor in Addams Family or in Diary of Anne Frank as Mr. Van Daan. He is happy to be back on stage, singing and dancing for your enjoyment.
Joel Bennett (He/Him) (Frau Blücher- A Cast)
Joel is so excited to be in his first play at the Ziegfeld. Joel started messing around in musical theatre 2 years ago, and so far it has been good for his soul.
Dylan Brady (He/Him) (Ensemble/ Asst. Music Director/ Music Captain)
Dylan is Absolutely Thrilled to be back on Stage with the Ziegfeld Theater! Last seen in A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder and Elf: The Musical, Dylan's comeback to theater has offered so many new opportunities to learn, laugh, and love theater again. Dylan is so grateful for his ever-supportive family, his incredibly talented and friendly castmates, and for all of the friends he's made in this wonderful world of Theater. Hope you enjoy the show!
Ryan Bruckman (He/Him) (Igor- B Cast)
Ryan is thrilled to have the chance to be a part of Young Frankenstein. Ryan has been performing all up and down the valley for the last 20 years and has been working as a director for 8 years. He has a great love of storytelling and especially making people laugh. An honest laugh is a moment of pure joy and makes the world a little bit better. Recent perfomance credits include Peter Quince - Something Rotten, Steven Kodaly - She Loves Me, Hercule Poirot -Murder on the Orient Express. "Special thanks to my family and friends who have helped make it possible for me to do this show. Thanks to Jennifer Westfall and the entire pro team for believing in me and all my love to my son Emmett who will most likely not read this because he’s 9 and I don’t want to explain some of the jokes of this show to him quite yet."
Pidgin Feather (He/They) (Ensemble/ Asst. Choreographer/ Dance Captain)
Pidgin Feather is a trans performing artist based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. He is so excited to back on the Ziegfeld stage! He graduated with their degree in theatre arts, and will be returning to pursue his BA in Gender studies. Pidgin grew up as a competitive dancer, earning multiple titles and awards in various dance competitions. Their love of dance evolved into a love of acting and singing when their mom lovingly forced them into musicals as a child (thanks mom, you were right). He has trained and performed internationally as an aerialist and contortionist. He is also part of a fire dance troupe called Fire Fae.
Madeline Harding (She/Her) (Ziggy/ Ensemble)
Madeline is so excited to be making her Zigfeld debut. Some of her past credits include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Olive Ostrovsky), RENT (Maureen), Oliver (Nancy) and Mamma Mia! (Sophie). Madeline would love to thank her parents, her boyfriend - Luke, and her beautiful tabby cat - Gizmo!
Troy Martell (He/Him) (Ensemble)
Troy is thrilled to be back on stage with The Zig. Troy has performed in The Zig productions of "RENT" as swing and "The Scarlet Pimpernel" as Farleigh, and George T. In "Kinky Boots". Past credits include, "Footloose," "How To Succeed in Business," and "Guys and Dolls" as a member of the Ensemble as well as Matt in "The Fantasticks." He would like to thank his cats (Casper, Loaf, Rye, and Cheez-it), Dog Archie, and his lovely partner Josh, who constantly support his crazy endeavors.
Jake Oaklyn (He/Him) (Victor/ Drac/ Ensemble)
Jake is excited to be returning to the Zig after a successful run of Kinky Boots over the summer! Other favorite appearances include Hale Centre Theatre’s School of Rock, Emmett in Legally Blonde at the Empress, Elf at Centerpoint, Daryl in Bright Star at Hopebox, and a Christmas Carol at Hale Center Theater Orem. When not performing, Jake practices as an LCSW and currently does therapy sessions for the BetterHelp app and enjoys his cats & gaming. Thanks for coming and please say hi afterwards!
Caleb Parry (He/Him) (Dr. Frederick Frankenstein)
Caleb is so excited to perform with this amazing cast. He started acting at age 5 and has done countless productions. Caleb and his life partner, Morgan, are the founders of The Ziegfeld Theater and are so happy to have you watching this show! Caleb has been seen most recently in “Forever Plaid” and most recently directed “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder” at the Zig. Thank you to his amazing cast and crew. Morgan Parry (She/Her) (Frau Blücher- B Cast)
Morgan loves performing at The Zig. This cast and production team has been a dream to work with and so fun! She especially loves to perform with her partner, Caleb, in this show!
Michael Reis (He/Him) (Inspector Kemp/ Hermit)
Michael is excited to be a part of this amazing show, with this amazing cast and crew, and for this amazing audience (no, I mean it, you're amazing - and you look great! Did you do something with your hair? Because WOW). This is a dream role for Michael, and he hopes you enjoy it!
Dallin Richards (He/Him) (The Monster)
This is Dallin's second musical at Ziegfeld. He played Santa in a Fairly Potter Christmas Carol. He has played in Elf (Macys Manager), Sister Act (Sweaty Eddy), and Drowsy Chaperone (Gangster). He has also performed in Little Mermaid (Chef Louise), and in Moby Dick (Male Choir) with the Utah Opera, more recently Singing in the Rain (Production Tenor) and Beauty and the Beast (Narrator). Dallin has enjoyed singing and performing for 7 years and plans to continue to do shows at the Ziegfeld Theater.
M Smiley (He/They) (Ensemble)
M Smiley is so honored to be performing in Young Frankenstein alongside such incredible, dedicated, and all-around high-quality people. M earned his BFA in Theatre with an emphasis in Acting from the University of Utah, and he holds the rank of Actor-Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors. Past acting credits include Antony and Cleopatra (Antony), The Laramie Project (Various characters), Six Years Old (Kim), How Flowers Bloom (Therapist), and Jesus Christ Superstar (Thomas). M is also a working musician/song-writer and is in multiple bands that perform around the Salt Lake area. His work can be found on various platforms including Apple Music, YouTube, Spotify, and iTunes. M would like to thank all his fellow castmates/colleagues, his parents – Erin Meyer and Stan Smiley – and his boyfriend, Pidgin, for being so supportive in this whole wild adventure!
Rebecca Stephens (She/They) (Ensemble)
After a two year hiatus, Becca is back and so happy to be a part of this show! Now a tattoo artist and painter, Becca spends most of her time painting or drawing, ya know, what painters and tattoo artists do. Some of Becca's previous roles at the Zig include Lina Lamont in Singing in the Rain and Columbia in Rocky Horror. She wants to thank her boyfriend for his support, her family for convincing her to audition, and her dog for sitting through hours of dancing and singing in the kitchen.
Karaline Taylor (She/Her) (Inga)
Karaline is thrilled to be back at the Ziegfeld. She was boring and went to college instead of doing fun things like theatre- but don’t worry, her philosophy degree makes her super fun at parties. She’s currently applying for graduate programs so who knows? Maybe she’ll be the next unstable doctor committing serious ethical transgressions. She’d like to thank her family, her sorority sister Cat, and also her actual cat, for their unending support of her questionable and treacherous career decisions. Mom, stop quoting the show in the back row- Dad, stop neighing. Love you guys.
Brooklyn Tousley (She/Her) (Ensemble)
Brooklyn Tousley is currently in her freshman year of college studying health care. Brooklyn also has a strong passion for the performing arts. Some of her favorite past roles are Bakers Wife in Into the Woods, Hope in Urine Town, Gabriella in High School Musical, Kim in Bye Bye Birdie, Lady Of The Lake in Spamalot, Gretchen in Freaky Friday, Cosette in Les Miserables, Evie in Descendants, and Gertrude in Seussical. Brooklyn has been a part of the Ziegfeld theater since the age 15 and is excited for the opportunity to be in this show.
Amy Turner (She/Her) (Ensemble)
Amy has been involved with Music and Musical Theatre in some shape or form all of her life. She grew up singing in choirs, taking piano lessons and performing on stages across California. She received a Music Scholarship to BYU-Hawaii, which she attended for 3 years. Before getting married and raising a family, she performed in The Music Man, West Side Story and Hello Dolly. Once her kids got older she returned to the stage in favorites such as 9 to 5, The Wedding Singer, The Addams Family, Annie, Mamma Mia, and Freaky Friday. Even though she loves being on the stage, Amy seems to enjoy the "behind the scene" action even more. She has been the Director of the JR's Academy at Showstoppers Productions since 2011. Starting in 2014 she has taken on many additional roles such as Instructor, Stage Manager, Producer, Office Manager, House Manager, Assistant Director and Director at numerous theaters across Davis County. Her greatest joy has been performing with her own kids and watching them grow up in the theater world. She hopes to one day work at Disneyland as the Fairy Godmother. Thanks to Johnny and the kiddos for all their support.
Natalie Wren (She/Her) (Ensemble)
Natalie Wren is so excited to be making her Ziegfeld debut! She's is currently a senior at the University of Utah studying Musical Theatre and loves to practice yoga. She was most recently seen in Kinky Boots at Civic Theatre and Freaky Friday at Hale Centre Theatre. Natalie wants to thank her mom and grandparents for their endless support. It's alive!!!!!
Samantha Wursten (She/Her) (Elizabeth Benning)
Samantha is delighted to be portraying Elizabeth in this hilarious cult classic! Samantha is a classically trained singer with a passion for musical theatre and holds a Music Minor from Weber State University. She enjoys working as a private voice instructor/vocal coach as well as music directing and working with youth theater programs throughout the state. Some of her favorite productions to date include The Music Man (Marian), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Christine Colgate), Pirates of Penzance (Mabel), Nunsense (Mary Amnesia), All Shook Up (Natalie/Ed), Guys and Dolls (Sarah Brown), and The Sound of Music (Maria). She is grateful to work with this amazing production team and cast! Shout out to her incredible support system that allows her to do what she loves! Thanks Mom and Dad!
