Newsies Jr Cast

Cameron Hale is very excited to be part of Newsies Jr. at Woodbridge High School. His past roles include Gaston in Woodbridge Middle School’s production of Beauty and the Beast Jr. and Father Christmas and Sebastian in Woodbridge High School’s productions of Narnia and Cinderella. In his spare time, he enjoys playing piano and reading books. He would like to thank his parents for getting him to all the rehearsals, and his directors and cast mates for helping to create this amazing show.

Emerson is a Senior at WHS and is excited to be playing Katherine in WHS’s Newsies jr. . She has previously played Lord Pinkleton in Cinderella, The White Witch in The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe,Kala in Tarzan, Jovie in Elf jr. . Emerson also participates in other activities such as select ensemble and is one of the publicist for Possum Point jr. Monthly meetings as well as participated in the previous 3 summer shows ( the White Stag in The Lion, The Witch, andThe Wardrobe, the Giant and the Birds in Into The Woods, and Slim in WCKY as well as the artist for the poster)

Ethan Hiller is very excited to be a part of Newsies Jr at Woodbridge High School. He recently worked with the WHS Theatre Company on Elf Jr. as Michael, Tarzan in the Ensemble, Narnia as Edmund, and Cinderella in the Ensemble. Ethan is also a part of the Woodbridge High School Concert Band, Concert Choir, and Marching Band. He wants to thank his parents for always supporting him.

Jaleya collick is excited to be playing Les in our Woodbridge high school production of Newsies.She recently worked with WHS Theatre Company on Cinderella as a smaller girl and a women who loves cake.Jaleya is also part of our select ensemble and choir. She would like to thank her grandmother and her Aunt Ivana for taking her to rehearsal and making sure she’s on time to play her part!

Tanner is very excited to be a part of Newsies, Jr at WHS. He has played Jean-Michael in Cinderella, Mr. Beaver in Narnia, an Ape in Tarzan, Cogsworth in Beauty & the Beast, Jr, Fake Santa in Elf, Jr, Grimsby in The Little Mermaid, Jr, and was part of the ensemble in Annie, Jr, all in Woodbridge Performing Arts. Tanner is currently in the 10th grade. For fun, Tanner swims on the SCSC swim team, performs in the Marching Band, plays baseball, is involved in his youth group, and enjoys hanging out with friends. Tanner would like to thank his family, friends, and Ms. Jones, Ms. Workman & helpers for giving him this opportunity.

Keaton Macinta is very excited to be part of Newsies carrying the banner through this show as Pulitzer and Oscar, some of the shows he's been in from the past include elf jr, Tarzan, Narnia, and Cinderella. He is always thankful for those around him who help him grow in his skills with acting and singing. He also loves to help out with different fundraisers like crab feast or even helping with kids at his church and church camp.

Marleigh Tibbs is very excited to be a part of Newsies at Woodbridge High School. She recently worked with the WHS Theatre Company on Legally Blonde and Emma The Musical as backstage/grips, Elf The Musical as ensemble, and Tarzan as Leopard and ensemble. Marleigh has performed in Beauty and the Beast as Lumiere and Little Mermaid as Scuttle, with the WMS Theater Company. For fun Marleigh plays her saxophone, crochets, and cares for the animals in the barn as a member of the WHS Livestock Showing Team and FFA. She wants to thank her family and friends for always supporting her and a special shoutout to her dad for being able to share the spotlight with her as he takes on the role of Roosevelt in Newsies.

Brooke Taylor is very excited to be apart of Newsies Jr. She loves being in the performing arts at WHS. When not at theatre Brooke is either playing her bass clarinet, playing drums in the marching band, or participating in FFA events. She wants to thank her family for always encouraging her to try new things.

Bella is very excited to be a part of Newsies Jr. She loves performing arts and is glad to be apart of WHS’s programs. She would like to give thanks to her mom for always being there for her and her dad for pushing her to do her best at preforming.

Gabrielle Lofland is super stoked to be a part of Newsies- her second production with WHS Theatre Company after completing her first production, Cinderella. Gabrielle enjoys reading, hanging out with friends , and building in her free time when she’s not occupied with track, FFA, NHS or school. From all her random hobbies and adventures and all her endeavors with WHS Performing Arts , Gabrielle would like to thank her parents, friends and family for supporting her as much as possible.

Scarlett Escamilla is excited to make their acting debut in Woodbridge High School's production Newsies Jr. They enjoy being in the performing arts at WHS. When they're not in school Scarlett likes to hang out with family and play games with her friends. They want to thank their parents for taking them to rehearsals.

Shayla Stewart is so excited to be a part of Newsies Jr. She has been in the theater company for five years. Her previous shows include Cinderella, Elf, Tarzan, Annie Jr., and The Little Mermaid Jr. For fun, Shayla participates in marching band and volleyball, and she volunteers at the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Company. Shayla would like to give a special thank-you to her aunt for always driving her to theater rehearsals and supporting her through everything.

Leonel Santizo-Rivera is very excited to be in Newsies jr at Woodbridge high school. He has been in two other shows with the WHS theater company in Cinderella as a duke, and The lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe as witches army. Leonel volunteers at the local SPCA as a caretaker for cats and dogs. He will like to thank his family and his friends for always supporting him on his passions and his acting journey.

Maya Meades is extremely proud of her accomplishments in Newsies at Woodbridge High School. She recently took on the challenge of playing in Cinderella and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe with the WHS company. In Maya’s free time, she enjoys watching movies with her friends and family. You can find her Marching with her bass drum on the football field. Maya would like to thank her friends for keeping her spirits up high during the hard times. She would also like to thank her Mom, Dad, and older sister Zoe, for driving her home from those long practices!

Kelsey Messick is super excited to continue her journey in acting at Woodbridge High in the production of Newsies. Kelsey loves being a part of the performing arts program of WHS. Outside of school Kelsey like to travel all sorts of places like Kentucky, Nebraska, and more for goat shows. You can catch her of the football field during half time with her flag representing the Woodbridge Marching band. She would like to thank her family and peers for supporting her through everything and always picking her up after practice.

Keegan Morehouse is very excited to make his acting debut at Woodbridge High School in Newsies Jr. He loves being in the performing arts at WHS. When he's not in school, Keegan enjoys playing baseball and hanging out with friends. You'll find him on the football field with the Marching Band at half time with his trumpet. He wants to thank his Friends and family for all their support!

Jordyn is a junior of WHS, and is very excited to be in newsies jr. This is Jordyn’s second year in theater. She participated in WHS elf jr. Jordyn is a part of the WHS Marching band and softball. Jordyn would like to thank her friends and family for supporting her through out every thing.

Rylee Curl is a Sophomore at WHS and is very excited to be part of Newsies jr. at Woodbridge High School. She has been part of many shows here and at Possum Point Players, and has played many different roles including Molly in Annie Jr., Andrina in The Little Mermaid Jr., Babette in Beauty and the Beast Jr., Dotty in WCKY, and Lucy in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe! She has also been in ensemble roles for Suessical, Elf Jr., Cinderella, and Tarzan. She would like to thank her family and friends for all of their support they've given her through her theater journey.

Maci Thomas is very excited to be part of Newsies at the Woodbridge High School. She recently did Beauty and the Beast JR. as an ensemble, along with Madagascar as a lemur at the Woodbridge Middle School. Maci is going into babysitter training. She wants to thank her family for being there for her during her hard times. She also wants to thank her best friends for giving her hope during this show.

Ruth Ernest is excited to be a part of Newsies Jr at Woodbridge High School. Ruth has previously worked with WHS Theatre Company in the production of Narnia as Ensemble. Ruth enjoys running cross country and reading. Ruth wants to thank her spectacular father for picking her up after practices.

Kaleb Davis is super excited to be in Newsies JR for his first ever WHS Theatre Company show. He’s really happy to be part of the Performing Arts Program at WHS. When he’s not in school, you can find him out on the field playing trumpet at the school’s home football games marching at half time with the WMB. Kaleb wants to thank his mom, dad, and grandma for always supporting him and pushing him to keep going with performing arts.

Emma Smith is excited to be a part of Newies Jr. This is her second show with the WHS performing arts. Her previous show was The lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. She loves being a part of the WHS performing arts and working with her peers. She wants to thank her friends and family for their help getting her here.

Aolani Henderson is happy to have made it in her first Woodbridge high-school production (Newsies). She loves all her cast members and directors and is proud of their hard work! Outside of school she loves writing, gaming, hiking, and illustrating her ideas. She wants to thank everyone around her for giving her courage to work hard and making it possible to do so!

Ellie Everton is ecstatic about being in her first WHS production “Newsies”. She’s also involved in the WHS concert band, playing percussion. Her favorite thing to do in and out of school is to draw and make creative things. Ellie would like to thank her cousin Mira for always being able to pick her up from drama practice, even if it was last minute!

Adria Seely is excited to be a part of Newsies Jr. In the past, she has been a part of Elf Jr., Tarzan, Narnia and Cinderella with the WHS theatre company. Her debut show was The Little Mermaid Jr. with the WMS theatre company. Along with theatre, she enjoys visual arts like drawing and painting. She would like to thank her friends, family and teachers for always supporting her theatre journey.

Dakota Hesse is extremely excited to make her acting debut in the Woodbridge High School's production of Newsies Jr! She loves being part of the Woodbridge High School Performing Arts. When she is not in school, she enjoys ice skating and running. In the fall, you'll find her on the Cross Country team and throughout the year, on stage with the Chorus! She would like to thank her mom and step dad for always taking her to and back from rehearsal and practice!

Excited to make her WHS Theatre debut, Gigi is a freshman at WHS. She brings to the stage her WMS Theatre experience and her love for all things performing arts! Gigi would like to thank her family for all their support and her teachers, Mr. Hendricks, Ms. Cook and Ms. Lowe for helping her this year.

Mr. Zach Truitt brings his talents to the WHS stage as Gov. Theodore Roosevelt. Previously seen on the stage as a member of the WHS Staff Production of "Play On," Mr. Truitt can also been seen in the classroom as a Social Studies teacher!
