Director
Michelle Stout-ZakharovMichelle is excited to be back in the director's chair for She Kills Monsters after directing the past 2 season at Viking Theatre. She finds it most curious that she would find her way back "home" to the Viking Theatre stage and to the very space where her love of live theatre first began. After living in Los Angeles for 25 years, she and her family moved to Winfield to raise their son. Most recently Michelle was seen on stage as Vern in Bingo the Winning Musical and Mama Murphy in Bright Star, both at Southwestern College. Favorite roles: Katherine Blake, Freaky Friday (NOC); Tracy Lord, High Society (Ponca Playhouse); Sandra Bloom, Big Fish (SC Summer Theatre Festival); Mrs. Snutaad, Church Basement Ladies (WCT). Michelle has been a part of many regional and professional productions. Notable roles include: Amnesia in Nunsense (Granada Hills Dinner Theatre); Carrie Pipperidge in Carousel (Music Theatre of Southern California); Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods (Downey Civic Light Opera); Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors (Music Theatre West); Ethel Toffelmeir in The Music Man (West Virginia State Music Theatre); Sandy in Grease (Downey CLO); and Lucy in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Inland Valley Rep). One of the highlights in her professional career was her time in Sasebo, Japan where she was a swing for twelve roles in four shows at Huis ten Bosh, Nagasaki Holland Village. Previous directorial credits include You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Winfield Youth Theatre and Inland Valley Rep), The Odd Couple (The Gallery Theatre), and Carnival (Seventh Street Theatre). Michelle is the Director of The Community Music School at Southwestern College where she has the opportunity to witness young musicians cultivating their love of music while growing their musicianship every day. She lives in Winfield with her amazing husband, Tim, and their son, Zane along with fur babies: Wiggles, Butterscotch, and Cheesy. All of her heart goes to her husband Tim and son Zane. Thanks for your support and love! Extra thanks and love go to the ones who help her make it all happen. They know who they are.

Costume Designer
Deborah BadleyDeborah is excited to return to one of her favorite creative spaces as the costume designer for "She Kills Monsters"."She loves being the “Costumer to the Stars.” Deborah has designed costumes for so many shows that she’s lost count. Most recently she costumed Snoopy. She worked on last season’s NOW. HERE. THIS. and designed costumes for the 2019-2020 seaon producitons of Almost, Maine and Radium Girls. Not only is Deborah a wiz as a costumer, she is also a seasoned singer and actress, having caught the performing bug right here on the VT stage. She found her love for costuming while performing with Horsefeathers and Applesauce Summer Dinner Theatre at Southwestern College. She attended SC and continued costuming as part of her theatre focus while majoring in music and theatre. Later as a new mother, she costumed many WHS productions. Coming back VT has been a joy. She now finds new delight while watching her own child fall in love with the theatre. Costumes are a fundamental element and can help an actor find a character, and Deborah being a part of that process.
