Katey Hallock
This is Ms. Hallock's 10th year at WMS. During her student teaching at Wilson Elementary, in 2016, she was the Assistant Music Director for Annie Jr. Her first year at WMS in 2017, she was the Assistant Director/Music Director/Choreographer for Fiddler on the Roof Jr. From 2018-2025 she was the Director/Music Director for The Little Mermaid Jr., Mary Poppins Jr., The Music Man Jr., Aladdin Jr., Frozen Jr., Oklahoma Youth Edition, and Beauty and the Beast Jr. In her free time, Ms. Hallock enjoys performing and music directing in local community theatre. Favorite shows include Newsies (Katherine Plumber) with Shenanarts, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Lucy Van Pelt), Matilda Jr (Music Director), The Little Mermaid (Ariel), Murder on the Orient Express (Mary Debenham), White Christmas (Judy Haynes), and Alice By Heart (Music Director) all with the Wayne Theatre/Studio Wayne. Ms. Hallock also serves as the Music Director for the Studio Wayne Junior Theatre Festival Competition Team.

Brennen Gilbert
Mr. Gilbert is a 7th Grade Life Science teacher here at Wilson Middle School. He is a graduate of James Madison University ('19 BS and '20 MAT) and Wilson Memorial High School ('15). In High School, Mr. Gilbert was a member of the Singing Sergeants and was actively involved in the Theatre Department at WMHS. Even though it is only his fifth year here, he is no stranger to Wilson Middle School and has served as a substitute teacher and volunteer since 2016. Brennen was actively involved with the 2016 production of Annie Jr. He also helped with Aladdin Jr in 2022, Frozen Jr in 2023, and Oklahoma Youth Edition in 2024. In his almost non-existent free time Mr. Gilbert enjoys enjoying a good book, spending time with his family, and taking the stage with local community theatre organizations. His most recent productions include Almost, Main and Tarzan with the Waynesboro Players.

Rachel Green
Mrs. Green has had a love of singing and theatre since she was old enough to talk! She participated in numerous choirs and theatrical productions throughout elementary, middle, and high school. Mrs. Green graduated in 2015 and 2016 from James Madison University where she received her Masters in Elementary Education. While at JMU, she was a regular participant in their Women's Chorus. Mrs. Green began helping with school musicals in 2019, when she worked as a Backstage Manager for Wilson Elementary's production of The Aristocats Kids. She also served as a Front of House Coordinator for their production of Annie Kids in May 2023. She brought her love of theatre with her when she moved to the Wilson Middle School and began her work as an Assistant Director for Oklahoma! Youth Edition (2024) and Beauty and the Beast Jr (2025). She is so excited to continue working with the WMS Theatre department as an Assistant Director/Hair & Makeup Lead. Mrs. Green also frequently serves on the production teams for Shenanarts as a Hair & Makeup Coordinator and Costuming Assistant. When she’s not spending time at home with her husband and two daughters, she is busy with local community theatre productions. Mrs. Green has been performing with local community theatre groups since 2020. Her favorite roles so far have been Jenna Coates (May We All), The Baker's Wife (Into the Woods), Missy (The Marvelous Wonderettes & The Marvelous Wonderettes: Dream On), and Sister Berthe (The Sound of Music). She looks forward to playing Queen Iduna in ShenanArts upcoming production of Frozen!

JEANINE TESORI won the Tony Award for Best Original Score with Lisa Kron for the musical Fun Home. She has also written Tony-nominated scores for Twelfth Night at Lincoln Center; Thoroughly Modern Millie (lyrics, Dick Scanlan); Caroline, or Change (lyrics, Tony Kushner); and Shrek The Musical (lyrics, David Lindsay-Abaire). The production of Caroline, or Change at the National Theatre in London received the Olivier Award for Best New Musical. Her 1997 Off-Broadway musical Violet (lyrics, Brian Crawley) opened on Broadway in 2014 and garnered four Tony nominations, including Best Musical Revival. Opera: A Blizzard on Marblehead Neck (libretto, Tony Kushner; Glimmerglass) and The Lion, The Unicorn, and Me (libretto, J. D. McClatchy, Kennedy Center). Music for plays: Mother Courage (dir. George C. Wolfe, with Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline), John Guare's A Free Man of Color (Lincoln Center Theater, dir. George C. Wolfe), and Romeo and Juliet (Delacorte Gala). Film scores: Nights in Rodanthe, Every Day, and You're Not You. Ms. Tesori is a member of the Dramatists Guild and was cited by the ASCAP as the first female composer to have two new musicals running concurrently on Broadway. She was the founding artistic director of Encores! Off-Center at New York City Center, and a lecturer in music at Yale University. Most of all, she is the proud parent of Siena Rafter.

 

DAVID LINDSAY-ABAIRE is a Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, screenwriter, lyricist and librettist. His most recent play, Ripcord, opens this fall at Manhattan Theatre Club. His previous play Good People premiered on Broadway, was awarded the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play, The Horton Foote Prize, The Edgerton Foundation New American Play Award, and two Tony nominations. His play Rabbit Hole received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, five Tony nominations, and the Spirit of America Award. David also wrote the book and lyrics for Shrek the Musical, which was nominated for eight Tonys, four Oliviers, a Grammy, and earned David the Ed Kleban Award as America's most promising musical theatre lyricist. David's other plays include Fuddy Meers, Kimberly Akimbo, Wonder of the World and A Devil Inside, among others. In addition to his work in theatre, David's screen credits include his film adaptation of Rabbit Hole, Dreamworks' Rise of the Guardians, and the upcoming Family Fang, starring Nicole Kidman, Christopher Walken and Jason Bateman.
