About Curtain Call: A Spring Choir Concert

Thank you for joining us for our 2024 finale, Curtain Call! We are celebrating a year of music, memories, and for the Class of 2024, an incredible accomplishment of finishing High School! This concert is sure to be full of energy, excitement, and a few tears as we say farewell to our senior class.

The WC Choir Program would like to thank the Dysart Unified School District Executive Cabinet and Governing Board, our Superintendent Dr. John Croteau and our district arts lead Danae Marinelli. We would also like to thank our school administrators led by Mr. Thom Luedemann, along with our arts department here at WCHS. An extra special thank you goes out to Mr. Steve Wallgren for being our accompanist tonight!

We would also like to thank you! Having music in our daily lives is a gift, and you all make that gift possible by supporting shows like the one you are about to see. Thank you, and enjoy the show!

Finally, to my seniors. I know most of you don't look at the ticket website, but just in case you see this: Thank you. You have made me a better teacher and a better person. Go move mountains!

Willow Canyon High School Choir

Our program is home to Evolution Show Choir, Willow Wisps Show Choir, the WC Concert Choir, and our Mixed Choir! Our students work hard every single day to bring the very best musical performances to our community. We can be seen at events around the City of Surprise throughout the year, at our competitions around the South Western United States, as well as in our shows here at Willow!

We have continued our tradition of opening every home varsity football game with the national anthem. Students in our choirs have been busy representing our school at many different events this year! We saw our first All-State Show Choir, Regional Honor Choir, and All-State Honor Choir qualifiers this year with Josiah Johnson and Kylie Philippon! We performed at the district Festival of Choirs in the fall, as well as the Festival of the Arts in March. Our show choirs have been seen on stage in Anthem, AZ, Los Alamitos, CA, and Oceanside, CA as part of our competition circuit. And of course, you all helped us set a new record for the number of tickets sold to a WC Choir show this past December! This has been an incredible year, and we cannot wait to raise the bar even higher in 2025.
