Director
Alex Metalsky
Alex Metalsky (Director) is excited to continue directing at Whitnall High School this year! Since graduating UW-Parkside in 2013 with a BA in Theatre, Alex has worked as a freelance theatre director in southeastern Wisconsin and, occasionally, Chicago. Alex served on Lakeside Players' board of directors from 2014-2017, before creating and leading Kenosha's Fleeing Artists Theatre from 2018-2023. Most recently he had the privilege of directing Willy Wonka: The Musical last spring at Whitnall, as well as Shrek Jr. and The Little Mermaid Jr. for Whitnall Middle School in 2023. Previously, he directed and adapted Five-Person Tempest at Voices Found Repertory in Milwaukee, and will be directing an all-new work with VFR next spring. Other favorite directing credits include: Philip Dawkins' Failure: A Love Story (Fleeing Artists), Athol Fugard's MASTER HAROLD...and the boys (FA), Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie (FA), William Shakespeare's Othello (Lakeside Players), Arthur Miller's Death Of A Salesman (LSP), Martin McDonagh's The Pillowman (LSP), and Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (twice — LSP and UW-Parkside). He is immensely grateful to the incredible work of Ms. Wagner, Mr. Israel, Ms. Puma, Mr. Edwards, the crew, the parents, and the talented cast.

Costumer
Hannah Puma
Hannah Puma is thrilled to be costuming this season's musical, and she is so excited about bringing one of her favorite stories to life with this incredible directing team! As an English teacher at WHS and a passion for creativity, her designs aim to bring characters to life by reflecting their unique stories and personalities. Outside of theater, Ms. Puma enjoys reading good books, hanging out with her cat, Shrimp, and watching Survivor. She has participated in theater, both off and on the stage, for over a decade and is delighted to costume her second musical through Whitnall. Break a leg to all the cast and crew!
