The Sound of Music Cast

Tala is a senior at WMRHS and is super excited to be in The Sound of Music.

Jeannine is a teacher-leader at WMRHS. Her parents put her on stage at the age of 6 in the Twin Mountain Follies’ renditions of South Pacific and Fiddler on the Roof as well as a variety of cabaret evenings. She also performed in Annie, Evita, and The Sound of Music at the Weathervane Theater. She is excited to be back on stage with the White Mountains Players! Other WMP performances include Bye Bye Birdie, The Music Man, and Annie. She gives great thanks to her parents for putting her on stage and to her husband for his patience with her always getting involved in stuff!

Martina is a Spanish instructor at WMRHS. Although she has no previous theater experience, she has enjoyed all “nun practices” this past semester, as well as seeing all students and other faculty involved. One of many reasons she is excited to be part of this musical is that it reminds her of her motherland (Slovakia)!

Susan teaches math and statistics at WHRMS. She has not been in a play since “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” way back when she was in high school. She would like to thank Ms. Tobin for her dedication and all the other sisters in the show for making it so fun.

Janine is a teacher at WMRHS and many years ago she was actually the Director of WMRHS players. In her earlier years she had lots of experience in the Colonel Town Players as a member of the chorus in musicals or as stage manager. Her favorite shows to stage manage were Godspell and Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Favorite musicals she participated in were Camelot and Oklahoma.

Kerry is the district’s athletic director and a physical education teacher at WMRHS. This is her very first performance with White Mountain Players. She has really enjoyed getting involved with the theater program and the Sound Of Music production!

Ellie Forbes is a freshman at White Mountains Regional High School. She never knew she liked theatre until she signed up for this play after people encouraged her to do so. She is majorly grateful for all the people who have helped her along the way, and all the new amazing friends she has made! She has had an amazing past few months learning about theatre. So she thanks everyone who has been there and helped her.

Ess watkins is a freshman at white mountains and this is there first BIG musical there are in.they have had a lot of fun being in this.alot of thanks go to there sister ,parents and friends for driving to and from the rehearsals.they have said that they have had a lot of fun and hope to be in more.

Morgan is a sophomore here at White Mountains and is so excited to be a part of the White Mountain Players! She started doing theater when she was seven and has never stopped. She would like to thank her parents for driving her everywhere. And her awesome friends for helping her practice. Also a big thank you to everyone that had to put up with her constant singing!

Rachel Travers is a Junior at WMRHS. She has been in shows such as Legally Blonde, The Audition and Graduation Day from the White Mountain Players, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory from the Whitefield Elementary School, Annie at LHS, and Our Town from the Weathervane Theater. Rachel is incredibly happy to be a part of this show and would like to thank her friends and family for the endless support!

Aliyah Chase is a sophomore and she is super excited to be in The Sound Of Music, she loves the theater and everything about it. Her favorite shows are Phantom of the Opera and Heathers. She loves to sing show tunes in the hallway with her friend Morgan. She just wants to thank her parents for supporting her love for theater and her sister Jazmyn for taking her to every rehearsal.

Savannah Stone is a junior and is thrilled to be acting in her third show here at WMRHS. Past shows include Legally Blonde here at White Mountains, Peter and the Stractcher with Interlakes Summer Theater, and Frozen jr with Colonel Town Players. Savannah would like to thank her theater loving friends, Dahlia, and her parents and grandparents for their support.

Carrington is a sixth grader at The Whitefield School. This is her first time participating in a White Mountain Players show. Carra has appeared in shows with Colonel Town Players, TheatreUP, Weathervane Theater’s Windsock camp, and the Whitefield School (come see her as Mal in their production of The Addams Family in the spring!). Aside from theater and music, Carra’s also passionate about ski racing. She’s currently in her 6th year of racing with Franconia Ski Club at Cannon.

Matilda is a third grader at The Whitefield School. This is her first time appearing on the WMRHS stage but she is certainly no stranger to theater. Matilda has appeared in 3 shows with Theatre UP in Littleton, 3 shows with the Colonel Town Players, and one show at The Whitefield School. She is currently rehearsing for her role as a mersister in The Little Mermaid JR as well as Puglsey in The Addams Family. When she’s not on stage you can find her on the slopes as a member of the Bretton Woods Race Team. Matilda would like to thank her family for everything they do!

Sophie DeRivera is a 3rd grader at Lancaster Elementary. This is her first play ever.

Mak Gilfillan is a student at White Mountains Regional High. They have always loved doing plays and being on stage. This has given them an opportunity to improve their technique. They have no plans to pursue theater as a career. It’s just a fun hobby that makes them happy. They have been in 2 plays prior, 1 major role and 1 minor role.

Gabriella Lynch is an 8th grader at the Whitefield Elementary School. She has had a big passion for everything related to theater since she was little. She is excited to move up to the high school next year to have more opportunities in WMRHS Theater!

Abigail Bovay is a 7th grader at lancaster elementary school this is her second play. She had an amazing time, made friends and really hopes to be in the next production for WMRHS. She is grateful for Mrs.Tobin's hard work to make this show come alive.

Jazmyn Chase is a junior at WMRHS, this is her first show at the high school. She participated in all plays/musicals in middle school, she is excited to be back in theater and looks forward to future shows.

Anette is so grateful to be a part of this production of “Legally blonde”; She’s had a wonderful time working with the crew and our phenomenal director Mrs. Tobin; She’d like to say thank you to all who have made this production possible, and she can’t wait for future productions with WMRHS.

Morgan Walters is a freshman at White Mountain Regional High School. This is his first show at WMRHS but has been in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory from Whitefield Elementary. Morgan would like to thank his mom for driving him everywhere and his friends and family for supporting him.

Dahlia is a junior at WMRHS, where Sound Of Music is her second show with the White Mountain Players. She would like to thank Mrs. Tobin for the opportunity of being Assistant Stage Manager, her parents for understanding the long hours at the high school, and all of her family and friends for supporting and encouraging her.

Yonah Friedman is a Junior at White Mountain Regional High School. This is her third year as a part of the White Mountain Players. While previously on stage for shows such as Graduation Day, and The Audition, after spending time both on and off stage in last year’s performance of Legally Blonde, Yonah found a love for the backstage world of theater. Yonah would like to thank her dad for always supporting her goals, and to her sister for always believing in her. Lastly, she would like to thank all of her cast members for helping put together an amazing show and for being amazing friends.

Scott Black, a Junior at WMRHS and has previously been seen as Calahan in last year’s production Legally Blonde, and is now helping behind the scenes. He would like to thank his parents for reminding him to sleep and Eric Wright for just being Eric… he always deserves a shoutout.

Melanie is a music teacher at LES. This is her first year in the district, and this will be her 10th production. Previous productions include The Music Man, Guys and Dolls, Alice In Wonderland, Grease, Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, and Annie. She is very pleased to have the opportunity to work with such a talented group of people. Special thanks to Catherine Tobin for your tireless efforts and guidance, and to her husband and daughters for their love and support.

McKenzie is a senior at WMRHS. This is her first production with the WM Players.
