An acclaimed cabaret performer, Melissa Newman has loved jazz since she was a child. The daughter of actors Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman, she' s most at home singing in small, intimate venues without a lot of spotlight.

Phil Bowler is a well-known double-bassist and radio host, who has performed with jazz greats such as Hugh Masakela, Wynton Marsalis, and Roland Kirk, and with the Count Basie Orchestra. His theatre credits include the Long Wharf Theatre production of Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill. For years, Phil hosted Jazz Adventures on WPKN (89.5 FM) in Bridgeport.  

The Westport Woman's Club is a gracious, spacious venue with an air circulation system that uses ultraviolet light for air purification. Doors open at 7:00 PM; Proof of vaccination required; bring your own beverages and snacks, and please bring a mask in case people at your table request it.
 

Westport Community Theatre, based at the Westport Town Hall, has been offering high quality theatrical productions to the Westport / Weston community for over 64 years. Our last season of plays was cut short by the pandemic in March 2020, and since then the town hall has been closed to public performances, but we expect to be back in 2022.
