Mariah Simon (Nya)
Houston, TX Mariah is currently a Junior at Westfield High School of Houston, Texas. She has participated in our UIL production Eclipse as Rita, New Faces 2021, Sister Act Jr as Sister Mary Lazarus, the UIL production of Paradise Blue as Pumpkin, and New Faces 2022. She plans to graduate high school and go to Texas Southern University and major in music. Along with being in Varsity Theatre, she is also a part of the Big Red Band high brass section as a Trumpet player.
Immanuel Poole (Omari)
Houston, TX Immanuel Poole is presently a Junior attending Westfield High School in Houston, Texas! Alongside working to master his Advanced/AP and Dual Credit courses, he dedicates himself to the Variety Theatre program in which he's been involved in a handful of productions, including: Eclipsed as a Props technician, The Greatest Show 2.0, New Faces 2021: A Change Has Gotta Come, Sister Act Jr. as Officer Eddie Souther, the UIL production of Paradise Blue taking on the role of P-Sam (Percussionist Sam), and even the New Faces production of 2022: There’s Hope. He also has made a few other commitments when it comes to his future including his involvement in EMERGE and Trios Educational Talent Search! After he walks across the stage in his senior year, he'd like to take a risk and go out of state to continue elevating his passion for acting (art of performance), directing, and screenwriting! Just to name a few of his college choices: University Of Southern California (USC), Carnegie Mellon University, and possibly The Juilliard School.
Kemarr Taylor (Xavier)
Houston, TX Kemarr is a Senior at Westfield High School in Houston Texas. He is the President of the 2022-2023 Varsity Theatre program. He is an active member of Varsity Theatre where he participated in The Greatest Show, New Faces 2019, New Faces 2021, UIL Production Eclipsed as our sound tech, Sister Act, UIL production of Paradise Blue as our assistant stage manager, and New Faces 2022. He plans to become an amazing actor, producer, director, and businessman, and his goal is to change the world.
Melany Menendez (Jasmine)
Houston, TX Melany is currently a Junior at Westfield High School of Houston Texas. She is the current Secretary for the 2022-23 Varsity Theatre program where she has participated in a number of productions including the UIL production Eclipse as a techie, New Faces 2021, Sister Act Jr., the UIL production of Paradise Blue as lead sound technician, and New Faces 2022. In her free time, she enjoys painting, designing clothes, and watching movies! After high school she plans to attend college and major in Fashion Design or Costume Design. Her goal is to open and own her own fashion business and eventually win her own Oscar!
Karissa Williams (Laurie)
Houston, TX Karissa is a Sophomore attending Westfield High School in Houston, Texas. In her free time, she loves to draw, dance, cheer and watch movies! She is a proud member of Varsity Theatre and has participated in New Faces 2021, Sister Act Jr, the UIL production of Paradise Blue as our LED technician, and New Faces 2022. She has plans to go to Clark Atlanta University and focus on acting. After college she plans to get a great job, graduate, finish college and save her earnings for a beautiful home.
Destiny Lewis (Costumes)
Houston, TX Destiny is currently a Sophomore at Carl Wunsche High School of Spring Texas. She is a proud member of Varsity Theatre and has participated in the New Faces 2021, Sister Act Jr., and New Faces 2022. This is her second year participating in production. In her free time she loves to write stories, dance and act out scenes from her favorite movies. She hasn’t decided where she wants what college she wants to go but she aspires to be a musician in a great band!
Aracely Palomo (Stage Manager)
Houston, TX Aracely is currently a senior at Westfield High School in Houston, Texas. She is a member of the National Technical Honor Society for her outstanding work in her engineering courses and plans to continue studying various sciences and mathematics at the University of Houston Downtown. Alongside NHS, she is an active member of Varsity Tech where she will be debuting this year. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping for the latest fashions and modeling her finds. Whenever she isn’t studying, she plans to become a model.
Ashley Poole (Assistant Stage Manager/Light Technician)
Houston, TX Ashley is currently a Sophomore at Westfield High School in Houston, Texas. During her free time, she loves to sing, draw, read, write, and dance. In the future, she plans on going to college to study Cosmetology and Dance. However, she has not picked a particular college/university yet.
Azariah Brown (Sound)
Houston, TX Azariah is currently a Senior at Westfield High School. She is a member of Student Council, she participates in Varsity Theatre in which she performed in Sister Act Jr. In her free time, she likes to act, dance, draw, paint, design, and cook. After graduation, she wants to attend cosmetology college and get an LLC and soon open her own business.
Marina Rodriguez (LED Light Technician)
Houston, TX Marina is currently a sophomore at Westfield High School at Houston, Texas. This will be her first year participating in Varsity Theatre. In her free time she enjoys playing and watching basketball. Although she’s still indecisive on what college she wants to attend, she plans to major in Biology with a bachelor's degree.
Tanner Coleman-Clark (Prop Mistress)
Houston, TX Tanner is a Sophomore at Carl Wunsche High School in Spring Texas.She participates in Student Black Union, Varsity Theatre and takes Criminal Justice pathway course. She has participated in New Faces 2021, Sister Act Jr., and New Faces 2022: There’s Hope! She wants to study Forensics and travel the world.When she isn’t practicing she is playing her guitar and using her camera to take dozens of pictures.
Julissa Cruz (Projector Operator)
Houston, TX Julissa is currently a Junior at Westfield High School of Houston, Texas. She is currently involved in both the art club and Varsity Tech. In her free time she enjoys painting, writing, reading, and watching movies! After graduating she plans to major in education where she can continue to pursue her love for creativity. She dreams of becoming an Art Teacher in the near future.
