Waukegan Public Schools

Waukegan Public Schools’ Fine Arts Department is excited to announce the ninth production in our district-wide theater opportunity for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.

It's not just entertainment. Theater is key to more creative, more communicative, healthier kids.

At its core, the theater requires imagination, empathy, listening, focus and teamwork, all of which greatly benefit children struggling to control their active minds or express themselves. Theater classes and participation in plays and musicals provide a foundation for students to gain social skills and express themselves.

During the spring of 2024, WPS launched the Waukegan Performance Arts Company, or WAUK-PAC, which aims to produce theater performances featuring students from District 60’s elementary and middle schools. We are so excited to present the group's ninth musical theater production… Aladdin Jr.
