About Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka, Jr.

Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR. follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, but the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka's rules in the factory — or suffer the consequences.

WAUK-PAC

Waukegan Public Schools’ Fine Arts department is excited to announce a new district-wide theater opportunity for students in kindergarten through 8th grade.

It's not just entertainment. Theater is key to more creative, more communicative, healthier kids.

At its core, the theater requires imagination, empathy, listening, focus and teamwork, all of which greatly benefit children struggling to control their active minds or express themselves. Theater classes and participation in plays provide a foundation for students to gain social skills and express themselves.

The District has launched the Waukegan Performance Arts Company, or WAUK-PAC, which aims to produce theater performances featuring students from District 60’s elementary and middle schools. This is the group's first musical theater production… Willy Wonka Jr.

On with the show!
