The musical is set in the Jazz Age of the 1920s, and tells the story of Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, two women on trial for murder, who compete for fame and attention while seeking legal representation and media manipulation to avoid punishment.  The Teen Edition makes the content more suitable for a younger audience by removing explicit content and language from the original show.  However, this show is not recommended for children under the age of 13.
