VHS Theatrics Presents: High School Musical! Cast

This is Luke Lingle and he is playing the role of Troy Bolton. This is his first show ever. He is excited. He also does band. He hopes to be able to build friendships with others and grasp a better understanding of theatre as a whole.

This is Bailey White. She is an incoming sophomore. She will be playing the role of Gabriella Montez this summer! Her previous roles have been a dancer in Mary Poppins Jr, Anna in Frozen Jr, Arista in The Little Mermaid, Miss Hannigan in Annie Jr, Mrs Puff in Spongebob the Musical, Jane Seymour in Six Teen Version, and now Gabriella! In her free time she loves to sing, dance, and cheer! She hopes you enjoy the show!!

Mia DeHarpart is 18 years old and an incoming student at Kansas State University-Manhattan. For the VHS production of High School Musical On Stage, she will be playing the role of Sharpay Evans. This is her second production with VHS Theatrics, her first being Big Fish (a spring musical). She is so excited to be back on the stage with this amazing and talented cast. She thanks you for supporting the fine arts, and hopes you enjoy this production.

Kyran Thorne is a 16-year-old student at Vienna High School and is thrilled to be making his acting debut as Chad Danforth! This is his first time on stage, and he has loved the challenge of bringing this character to life. Kyran is grateful for the support of his friends, family, and the entire cast and crew, who have made this experience unforgettable. He hopes you enjoy the show as much as he’s enjoyed being a part of it! And a special thank you to my youth leaders, Connor and Erin, and my amazing family for supporting me and encouraging me to audition!

My name is Eli Cochran and in this production of High School Musical, I will be playing the role of Ryan Evans. I am an 18 year old and will be attending SIU this fall for the musical theater program. I've worked with the VHS summer intensive and the Shawnee Community College fall and spring shows. I've been in five past productions including Plankton in the Spongebob Musical, Flotsam the eel in Little Mermaid, and Mr. Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors. I am excited for this show, and so happy that I get to work alongside this amazing cast!

Lauren is a 16 year old who attends Anna-Jonesboro Community High School and is going into her senior year. This is her 1st Vienna summer musical. Her favorite roles have been Chip in The Beauty and The Beast, Michael in Elf (Shawnee Community College),and Alice in The Addams Family(AJCHS). Tonight I will be playing the role of Taylor McKessie the lead Brainiac. Outside of school Lauren has a passion for advocating for children with scoliosis and she plans on pursuing a career in pediatric radiology after high school. Lauren also enjoys riding her horses, reading, talking with her parents(love u forever), and getting food with her friends.

John Cunningham (Jack Scott) is pumped to bring Jack Scott to life in High School Musical! A student at Vienna High, this is John's third show with the VHS theatre crew, and he’s had a blast every time. You might’ve caught him in a couple past productions, but this role lets him tap into his inner radio DJ—and he's loving it. Big thanks to everyone who helped make this show happen. Go Wildcats!

Abby is 18 years old and will be a freshman at SEMO’s Dobbins Conservatory. She has performed in many musicals in the past, such as Shawnee College productions, Peter Pan Jr (Mrs. Darling) at the Market House Theater in Paducah, and VHS Summer Intensive productions such as Little Mermaid (Ursula) and SpongeBob SquarePants (SpongeBob). She is thrilled to perform as Kelsi in tonight’s production of High School Musical! Abby would like to thank God for the time she got to spend with this talented cast and crew and for this amazing opportunity! She hopes that you all enjoy the show and have a wonderful time at East High!

Logan Abernathy is 18 and going into his freshman year at Illinois State University. Logan used to attend Anna Jonesboro Community High School. He is excited to be playing Zeke Baylor in VHS Summer Intensive’s production of High School Musical. His past shows include SpongeBob the Musical (Patchy the Pirate/Larry the Lobster at AJCHS and Patrick Star at VHS), School of Rock (Ned Schneebly), The Wizard of Oz (the Wizard of Oz), The Little Mermaid (Grimsby), The Addams Family (Uncle Fester), Into The Woods (Cinderella’s Prince), and Grease (Kenickie). Logan enjoys listening to music, acting, singing, reading, and playing guitar. Logan is excited to do his final show at VHS.

Briley is an outgoing senior and is so excited to be playing Ms. Darbus. She has been in multiple shows at Vienna High School, Vienna Grade School, and Shawnee Community College. Some of her favorites have been Big Fish (Sandra), SpongeBob the Musical (Pearl), Little Shop of Horrors (Crystal), and Six (Catherine Parr). She has choreographed Big Fish and co-choreographed other shows as well. She also has helped program lights in almost every show she’s been in and more! She has also been the stage manager for multiple of VGS shows! In her free time, she likes to sing (especially with Fanny and the Dingos), watch musicals (#ThangGang4L), play her flute, and spend time with her family and friends. She wants to say thank you to the cast, crew, Connor, and her mom. She loves you all. This program has truly shaped who she has become! Enjoy her living it up on stage one last time :)

Lucas Salazar is 18 and will be a freshman at Washington University in St. Louis this fall. A graduate of Anna-Jonesboro Community High School, class of 2025, Lucas has previously performed in SpongeBob the Musical (Plankton), The Wizard of Oz (Tinman), The Addams Family (Lucas Beineke), Into the Woods (Rapunzel’s Prince), and Grease (Danny Zuko). Outside of theater, he enjoys listening to music, working out, and spending time outdoors. This is Lucas’s first show with VHS, and he is thrilled to be performing alongside such a talented and amazing cast.

Claire is 16, she is a Sophomore in high school, and is homeschooled. She has performed in many musicals in the past. She has been in 9 Shawnee College productions, and also performed in the production of The Little Mermaid, and SpongeBob The Musical at Vienna High School. Claire is super excited to be playing the role of The One and Only Martha Cox!! She hopes you all enjoy this wonderful production of High School Musical!!

Gabrielle Buretz is 17 years old and is an incoming senior at Vienna High School. This is her 9th time performing. She is excited to play the role of Ensemble. Her previous roles are as follows: Timon in Lion King jr, Jamie in School of Rock, Ensemble in Little Shop of Horrors, Stage crew for Frozen jr, Adella and Ensemble in Little Mermaid, Wickersham Brother in Seussical, Josephine in Big Fish, Patchy the Pirate in Spongebob, Anna Cleves in Six: Teen Edition, and Ensemble in Little Shop of Horrors with Shawnee. She hopes you tune in and enjoy this challenging, but absolutely incredible show!!

Kati is an incoming 8th grader. She is happy and ready to play Ensemble in VHS's High School Musical. She enjoys musicals. Her favorite musical to date is The Journey to Bethlehem. Kati has performed in a couple musicals before this one. She was a townsperson and a summer person in VGS Frozen Jr, a “Who” in SCC’s rendition of Seussical, ensemble in VHS Summer Theatrics performance of Spongebob, “Lt. Ward” in Annie, and a “Magician” in VGS's rendition of Seussical. When she isn't on stage, you will find her on call with her boyfriend, playing the flute, listening to music, or drawing.

Kammy Coonce is an incoming 8th grader who is in ensemble and several different groups. She is excited for this year's production of High School Musical: On Stage and hopes you enjoy the show! In Kammy's free time she enjoys reading the Bible, going to church, doing flips, and hanging out with family and friends. This will be Kammy's fourth show!

Nevaeh Coonce is playing the role of Mrs. Tenny / Science Decathlon Moderator Voiceover and is thrilled to be a part of High School Musical! at VHS. Nevaeh is excited to step into the shoes of Mrs. Tenny, the East High homeroom teacher, and also lend her voice to the Science Decathlon Moderator. Offstage, Nevaeh enjoys reading, dancing, baking, hanging out with friends, and would like to thank her family and friends for their support. Go Wildcats! ALSO! special shout-out to my youth pastors Connor and Erin without them I wouldn't have auditioned so thank you for your support!

Mason Felcyn is excited for High School Musical to be his first show ever. He will be playing the roles of jock/ripper. Mason is in band at VHS. He hopes to expand his education with this show and get a higher chance of getting into U of I.

Bailey is super duper excited to be making her second summer musical be High School Musical (the musical). Her previous musicals include VHS’s productions of Big Fish and SpongeBob the Musical and SCC’s production of Tarzan and Little Shop of Horrors. For tonight, she’s playing a smaller role known as Alan! And might be the first named role ever in history. In the fall, she’ll be auditioning for SCC’s Shrek!; coming in the fall! Bailey would like to thank everyone for allowing her to do this, including her place of work for letting her take the days off to do the performances!

Izzy Terry is 13 years old and a student of Massac Junior High School. She will be playing some of the ensemble members in the High School Musical production. Her previous roles have been Shawanda in Buddy the Elf, Perch Perkins and Ensemble in SpongeBob the Musical, and Leeward and Ensemble in The Little Mermaid. She is so excited to be back on the stage and cannot wait for you to see the show!

My name is Gage Thomson. I have been in 2 other high school musicals (not the show). They were Little Mermaid and School of Rock. Some of my favorite things to do are swim, play soccer and jump on my trampoline. I go to Vienna High School.

Chloe Smith is excited to be in the ensemble this year. She is going into 8th grade and this will be her seventh musical. She was Young Elsa in Frozen, she was Flounder in The Little Mermaid, she was Young Kangaroo in Seussical, she also played Jojo a different time, she was Grace Farrell in Annie,and she was also in many different characters in SpongeBob. When she is not on the stage, she enjoys cheer, volleyball, track, and being a part of her church’s worship and children’s church. Chloe is very excited to be a part of this year’s production of High School Musical!

Brynleigh is 13 and an incoming 8th grader at Century Junior High School. Brynleigh has been a part of one summer show with many more to come. She was in the production of SpongeBob last summer and played the roles sardine, sponge, and Electric Skate. She is so excited to be in HSM and to be doing her second show at Vienna High School. Brynleigh is a part of the ensemble and is really excited to be a part of such an amazing show with amazing people. She hopes you enjoy the show!

My name is Anna Claire West. In this year’s summer musical at VHS, I am playing the role of a cheerleader and an ensemble member for High School Musical. I am a 14 year old student who will attend Vienna High School this fall. I am excited to be in my first musical!

Hi, my name is Jessie Quinn, and for the VHS production High School Musical I will be in the ensemble. I am 16 but turning 17 on Aug 6th yay and a student of DHS but also going to school at VHS. I’m so glad we switched schools to VHS. I have so many opportunities here and this is my first musical. I’m very nervous but excited and everyone in this musical is so amazing, like I’m being serious, but thank you for supporting us and I hope you enjoy the show!!!
