About Big Fish

Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, Big Fish tells the story of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest… and then some! Edward’s incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him – most of all, his devoted wife Sandra. But their son Will, about to have a child of his own, is determined to find the truth behind his father’s epic tales. Overflowing with heart, humor and spectacular stagecraft, Big Fish is an extraordinary new Broadway musical that reminds us why we love going to the theatre – for an experience that’s richer, funnier and BIGGER than life itself.

VHS Theatrics

VHS Theatrics believes purpose produces passion, and passion produces excellence.

We believe that by putting students in positions where they can thrive with their talents and grow into new ones AS A FAMILY, that it naturally produces excellence and fosters an understanding of themselves that will help them succeed in their futures.

VHS Theatrics provides specific opportunities for the students of Vienna High School during the school year, as well as provides a community opportunity for members of the surrounding schools to participate in a Summer Theatre Intensive that is focused on developing skills as a performer, growing character as a person, and fostering a family for those who love the arts.

This program is not only for those who are interested in acting, singing, and dancing! We are interested in fostering leaders in all areas of the arts. While this may look different for each of the areas (tech, performing, backstage, costumes, etc…), we still believe that when we come together in our unique gifts, that we can make something incredibly special.

Finally, we are always growing! Hopefully in number, but always as a group. What you may experience one time may not be what you see the next time. VHS Theatrics believes in taking risks and trying things. The founders, Connor and Camryn Windings, came into the community and decided to revamp the program, with their close friend, mentor, and predecessor, Michelle Hunsaker, with the sole purpose of bringing glory to God. They continue to strive and produce their best but keep the focus on the students and their growth. This is why the program shifts and changes, because students are complicated! Just kidding, but we do want to serve them the best that we can in whatever that looks like as each generation presents new challenges. We hold fast and make known what sticks and leave behind, or change ingredients, to things that fall short. We work hard to provide the best opportunities because we believe that we've been gifted the best students, in the best community, for one of the things that we love the most; theatre.
