The Wizard of Oz Cast

Isabel de la Peña is so excited to be playing “Dorothy Gale” in The Wizard of Oz. This is Izzy's third year with Theatre Veritas. Enjoy the show!

Meet Penny de la Peña, a beautiful Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix. A North Carolina native, this is 6 year old Penny’s first production, and being a natural, she hopes for a future in theater. A people person, Penny is happy being surrounded by the hustle and bustle that comes with producing a musical. You will be especially entertained when Penny adds her own special voice to the iconic role of “Toto”.

Hannah Stage is excited to be in yet another drama production. She has been doing drama on and off since sixth grade and has participated in shows such as A Christmas Carol and Cinderella for Theatre Veritas. She loves the exhilaration of being on stage and is thrilled to be playing “Glinda” for this production. Enjoy the show! 

Vincent Babcock is currently a junior attending Veritas Christian Academy. This year’s drama production marks his second year in Theatre Veritas. Since last year was unfortunately still very COVID-19 precautious, Theatre Veritas made a film in solitude rather than a play performance. This, however, is no longer the case so this year’s live stage production and musical will be his first encounters with live acting. He is extremely excited for this opportunity and looks forward to the progress he can make after being armed with acting tools he’s been given.

Mary Garcia is a junior this year at Veritas. This is her seventh year in Theatre Veritas and her 17th production. She is ecstatic to be playing the lively character of the “Cowardly Lion”. She hopes you all love the show as much as she does, and thanks you for coming!!!

Emma has been in Theatre Veritas for 7 years. She loves the community and can’t wait for the production!

Madelyn Matlick is thrilled to be performing in The Wizard of Oz. She is grateful for the entirety of the drama program and especially for Mrs. Wade and her guidance these last four years. Some of her roles with Theatre Veritas have been “Laurey” in Oklahoma, “Laertes” in Hamlet, and “Susan” in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. She is excited for you to be in the audience and hopes you enjoy the show!

Anna Camille Fleeman is a junior at Veritas. She is ecstatic to be playing the role of “The Wicked Witch of the West” in Veritas’s production! She would also prefer not to be told she “Makes a perfect witch” by anyone else. Good job is sufficient. She thanks you for coming and hopes you enjoy the show!

Jake Miller is excited to be part of this production. This is Jake’s first year in Theatre Veritas as a high schooler! Hooray! Jake will be playing “Professor Marvel” and “Oz”. He has been at Veritas for 8 years and enjoys anything STEM or music related. Enjoy the show!

Tucker T. Rikard is thrilled to be a part of Theatre Veritas' production of The Wizard of Oz as the "Mayor of Munchkin City". This is his 5th production with the Theatre. You may have seen him as "Edmund" in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, or as a "Player" in Hamlet. See you on stage!

Alaina Meyer is so excited to be a part of this year's Theatre Veritas production of The Wizard of Oz! She has performed in Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, Rodger and Hammerstein's Cinderella, a Theatre Veritas special with works of various writers: An Easter Film Project, and C.S. Lewis' The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. She loves the magic of Theatre, the laughter and the scripts and songs, the sweet friendship and the experiences on stage! The LORD has blessed her with being a part of this wonderful cast and program! She is so excited to help transport you into a different world, a different story where you will meet a sweet girl named Dorothy and a little dog named Toto! So, may your loveliest dreams open up before you along the yellow brick road!

Chris Bowyer is thrilled to be in Theatre Veritas’ production of The Wizard of Oz. This will be Chris’ second play with Theatre Veritas. Ironically, his mother has never read the book or watched the movie due to childhood trauma of the witching variety. He hopes you enjoy the journey!

Juliette Ralston is so excited to be in The Wizard of Oz. This is her 1st year in drama and her first musical. She loves working with her drama family. Juliette hopes you enjoy the show!

Tessa Wack is attending her 10th year at Veritas Christmas Academy. She has been in Theatre Veritas for almost 3 years now. Earlier this year she played "Lucy" from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and acted in other shows, including Hamlet and Cinderella. She is super excited to play in this year’s musical, The Wizard of Oz. She thank you for supporting Theatre Veritas and hopes you enjoy the show.

Avah Polis is thrilled to take part in this production of The Wizard of Oz. Avah has participated in 13 other plays, but her only other play with Theatre Veritas was this fall’s forre in Narnia as the “Elf”. Avah loves being at Veritas and is excited for future musicals. She hopes you enjoy the adventure.

Lillian Wack is so excited for the spring musical. She recently played the “Unicorn” in The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, as well as acting in An Easter Film Project last year. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Tacy Stage is in her 6th year at Veritas. She was in Charlotte's Web as "Ensemble". She is delighted to bring this show to you. 

Abram is thrilled to participate in drama. This is his first year in drama and his first production with Theatre Veritas. Enjoy the adventure!

Carolyn Leigh is excited to be a part of The Wizard Of Oz. This is her fourth performance with Veritas Christian Academy and she is excited to do more. She loves the performing arts and has been performing since she first started school at Veritas. She is very excited to play the "Crow" in the play. She greatly appreciates your support and hopes you enjoy the show! 

Caylee has been in drama before. She was in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. She is excited to be in the Wizard of Oz.

Hazel Bullock is very excited to be in this musical production of The Wizard of Oz. This is her first year in Theatre Veritas'. She hopes you enjoy the play!

Jana Jenkins is very excited to be joining The Wizard of Oz cast for this musical. This is her second year with Theatre Veritas and she is so thrilled you will be joining us. She can't wait to see you there!

Jessie Sultenfuss is very excited to act in The Wizard of Oz! This is Jessie's first year in theatre. She’s excited to participate in her first ever play at her new school, Veritas Christain Acadamy. Jessie’s sister was in theatre, spawning her love for the stage. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Jazzy Pharr has been at Veritas for eight years. This is her second show with Theatre Veritas. She previously acted in Veritas’s fall production of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. She is excited to be in this show and can't wait for you to see it!

Caroline McClain has done Theatre Veritas for three years. She loves getting all dressed up in the costumes and makeup. Caroline is so excited for the future plays and musicals to come!

Emily Young has acted with Theatre Veritas for four years. She is devoted to learning her lines, no matter how small. Emily particularly loves musicals and specifically dance numbers. She is so excited to be in The Wizard of Oz and can't wait for more shows to come!

Georgia Evans has been attending Veritas since kindergarten and is currently in the eighth grade. She has been in Theatre Veritas since her sixth grade year. Her previous parts include "Fenris Ulf" in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, "Nancy Dreary" in "The Case of the Empty Tomb", as well as "Ensemble" in Cinderella and Hamlet. She is excited for this performance and hopes you enjoy the show!

Callie Stage has been at Veritas for six years and she has a passion for theatre and the arts. As well as participating in productions at Veritas, she studies theatre and film at The Logos Theater Academy of the Arts during the summer. Some of her past shows have been Hamlet, Cindrella, Our Town, The Child Stealer, and The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe. She is thrilled to be a part of The Wizard Of Oz this semester and hopes that you enjoy the show.

Grace is fifteen years old and loves to dance at Center Stage Dance Studio. She has been dancing for thirteen years and will graduate in 2024. Grace is a sophomore and has been attending VCA since kindergarten. Grace's favorite food is fettuccine alfredo.  She welcomes you to Oz and hopes you enjoy the adventure.

Elisabeth Moffitt is excited to be apart of Theatre Veritas’ The Wizard of Oz. She has been cast in Willy Wonka, Oklahoma, and A Christmas Carol in the past. She starred as "Mrs. Potts" in Theatre Veritas’ Beauty and the Beast in middle school. She has been attending Veritas since 2nd grade, and loves the relationships she has established at the school. Lastly, she thanks you for supporting her, she hopes that you sit back and enjoy the show!

Ava Groover is very excited to participate in The Wizard of Oz. This is her 2nd show at Veritas. She hopes everyone will enjoy the show!

David Rose is very excited to help recreate such a classic story. This is his second play and his first musical. He has enjoyed creating this production. He hopes you enjoy the show. So please, Enjoy!

Amira Wood has been at Veritas for 7 years. She was in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe as a "Wood Nymph", "Reindeer", and "Member of the Witch's Army". She is delighted to be in this show. Enjoy the show!
