Valley Theatre Company (VTC) is entering its 27th season, marking a significant milestone in its journey of fostering artistic growth and community engagement in theatre arts in the Kittitas Valley area.

Founded in 1999 as Valley Musical Theatre, VTC has been at the forefront of live performance, now offering a diverse range of productions that celebrate creativity, artistry, and tradition. From its humble beginnings with the production of Oliver!, VTC has evolved into a cornerstone of the local arts scene, engaging audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

VTC is dedicated to its mission of creating an inclusive environment that supports community engagement through the theatre arts. Guided by its values of growth, empathy, integrity, and respect, VTC wants the voices of the community to be heard and included in the work. It strives to create a welcoming environment where everyone feels that there is a place for them in the theatre experience.

At the heart of VTC's successes are its multi-talented volunteers including its behind-the-scenes stage volunteers, whose passion and hard work have been instrumental in bringing productions to life. As VTC looks ahead to the next 25 years, it remains committed to providing opportunities for community members to participate in the art of storytelling as creators, collaborators and audience members.

We have multiple ways you can support our ongoing work.  Become a Season Show Supporter, with a one-time or monthly donation, or donate to our fund-a-need project this year - the VTC Building Fund. One of Valley Theatre Company's strategic goals over the next 5-10 years is to secure a dedicated VTC facility. While our long-term goal would be to see a community-based theatre house or performing arts center, we have critical short-term needs of a consistent place to build sets & costumes, and consolidate storage for costumes, sets and props. We are actively seeking industrial space that could meet these needs, and also allow for rehearsal space, which would minimize our rental costs to other venues, and provide a consistent location to offer theatre workshops and classes, as well as small events in-house. Your donation toward the VTC Building fund will support Phase One goals listed below.

Current Annual Facility Expenses:

  • Storage: $7,900 - $8,500
  • Seasonal Rental for "maker's space": $3,000 - $4,000
  • Facility Rental costs to rehearse and perform 4 productions: $22,000 - $25,000

Phase One Goal: $15,000

Funds will go towards:

  • Acquisition or rental of (initial upfront costs) of consolidated space for building, storage, and rehearsals
  • Moving Costs
  • Tenant improvements to maximize space
