Razaria Denae (Nya)Razaria Denae (she/her) is a First Year Graduate student in the MFA Performance Program here at the University of Louisville. Razaria Denae performed in "Blues For An Alabama Sky" as Delia in the previous Fall semester, The Fridge Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” as Hippolyta, and in “Our Town” as Stage Manager. She would love to show appreciation to God, her friends and family, and to the women who share an experience similar to Nya's.
Aliyah Brutley (Nya)Aliyah Brutley (she/her) is an actress, dancer, and poet born and raised in Louisville, Ky. She graduated from the University of Louisville in 2021 with a Bachelor of Art in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Theatre Arts. After spending some time in Los Angeles, she is elated to be back in her home state
and especially her theatre home at the university. Outside of being on the stage, she enjoys being a teaching artist and spreading her love for theatre. Her mission is to use theatre as a therapeutic process to help underserved communities overcome adversity. Through her work, she hopes to encourage younger generations to find their own “inner artist.” She dedicates this performance to her cousin, Robert “Chi Chi” Biggers, the catalyst of allowing life- even when cut short- to motivate the art she creates.
Joryn Parker (Omari)Hello, my name is Joryn Parker and I am a second year student majoring in theatre. Along with theater, I also study French as a secondary major. I’m very excited to take on the role, as this is the first play I will be performing in. As someone without any prior experience in theatre and experiencing the process of preparing to be in a production for the first time I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to interact with new people, grow as an actor, and to learn about all things theatre!
Giani Roberts (Omari)Giani Roberts is excited to be playing Omari in Pipeline, his first play at UofL. Giani is a freshman theatre major at UofL. He has been acting since the first grade at Lincoln Elementary School. He then found a passion for theatre and has been going to school for it ever since. In high school he watched this play and enjoyed it so he is excited not only to be in his first UofL production but also in a production of Pipeline. He loves the story told in Pipeline and is happy to get to be a part of sharing it.
Jenny Reyes (Jasmine)Jenny Reyes is excited to be performing in her last role at the UofL Theatre Department in her Undergraduate career. In recent years with the department, she's been part of As You Like It as Rosalind, Much Ado About Nothing as Beatrice, and She Kills Monsters as Tilly. She is honored to have been part of such a wonderful program that has helped her grow as an artist. She hopes the audience enjoys this amazing production. She would like to thank her professors, directors, and peers for their support throughout this journey.
Alaya Rhett (Jasmine)Alaya Rhett (She/Hers) is a junior theatre arts major at the University of Louisville. This is her first main-stage performance at UOFL, and she couldn’t be
more excited! Alaya has been acting since a young age and had appeared in several shows including, Airness as Nina O’neal at YPAS The best Christmas Pageant Ever as Imogene Herdman at Stage One, A Winters Tale as Dorcas at CCM and plenty of devised theatre! She hopes you enjoy the show! :)
Wayne Taylor (Xavier)Wayne Taylor is a visionary creative and strategist whose journey bridges the disciplines of finance, brand building, and the performing arts. Upon graduating with honors from Morehouse College, Wayne launched his career on Wall Street. Rising in ranks to Senior Vice President at Bank of America Merril Lynch and during his tenure there and at organizations such as Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital, he established a reputation for his sharp strategic mind, people-first leadership, and his ability to structure revenue generating client relationships in high-stakes environments. Today, Wayne is expanding his creative practice as a 1st year Master of Fine Arts in Performance graduate student candidate embracing the stage as his next canvas.
MichaelJoseph Barber (Xavier)Born in New Orleans, Louisiana MichaelJoseph learned about the beauty and pains of the world from teachings of his mother and grandmother. At Jackson State University he learned how to put the worlds beauty and pain onto the stage. On this stage and beyond, MichaelJoseph Barber would like to dedicate this performance to Keith Porter Jr., an African American man wrongfully slain by ICE. A dedication to all the Black and Brown kids/people that fight a racist and over-policing system, daily. You are deserving and worthy of love, life, and peace. May it find you and stay with you forever.
Andrea Haskett (Laurie)Andrea Haskett (she/her) is a second year MFA student. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, she graduated from Boise State University with a BS in Chemistry. However, she discovered her passion is in story telling through theatre arts and film. Throughout her arts exploration, she has worked both on and off stage in many capacities. She is grateful to be working with a great cast and crew and to have the opportunity bring Laurie to life in this production of Pipeline. She also sends a grateful thank you to her husband, family, and friends for their continued love and support.
Emery Bruni (Laurie)Emery is a sophomore Communication major and Theatre Arts minor, and this is her second play with UofL's theatre department! She is currently playing the part of Laurie in Pipeline. She was seen on stage last semester as Adam, Martext, and the Highman in As You Like It. She is from Bowling Green, Kentucky. She loves her 4 cats, baking, procedural drama shows, acting (obviously), and fashion. She has had the most amazing time getting to work with all the wonderful people involved with this show and is so excited for the audience to love Pipeline as much as she has! :)
Jamoa Wooten (Dun)Jamoa Wooten is an actor from Adel, Georgia, raised on a farm where discipline, work ethic, and storytelling were part of everyday life. His passion for acting was ignited at the University of Louisville in his first theater class under Professor Hood, who instilled in him a deep respect for the craft and its demands. Jamoa approaches performance with an appreciation for the artistry behind every word, breath, and movement, valuing intention and presence on stage. In addition to acting, he writes and produces music, bringing a rhythmic and emotional sensibility to his work as a performer.
Dylan Fisher (Dun)Dylan Fisher is a second year MFA student. Dylan is an artist , hailing from Eastern North Carolina. He holds a Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Musical Theatre from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Dylan's stage credits include roles such as Noah Curry (110 in the Shade) Zangara (Assassins) Duke Senior (As You Like It )(Taub), The Wizard (The Wiz) and Teen Angel (Grease)Calcifer (The Love of Three Oranges) Tiny Joe Dixon/Frank (DreamGirls) and this March 20-22 Cinderella's Prince - Into the Woods at the Playhouse. His directing credits include The Night the Reindeer Rocked, The Lion King Kids and Hestia Circus.
