Paula Lockhart
Paula O. Lockhart is a theatre artist and administrator from St. Marys, GA. She holds two bachelor’s degrees from Wesleyan College in Theatre and Communication and an MFA from The University of Louisville with a certification in African American Theatre. She is the Associate Director of the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts, the largest tuition free governor’s school in the country. A multi hyphenate creative, Lockhart has had the pleasure of directing A Raisin in The Sun at the Woodford Theatre and Keepers of the Dream: Women of The Movement, Kentucky Performing Art’s annual community celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s life and vision. She has also directed staged readings of Fairview, August: Osage County, and most recently directed Felt written by GSA alum, Katie Peña Van-Zile in the inaugural Disability Playwrights Workshop, sponsored by The University of Kentucky’s Human Development Institute. An active educator, she has taught at Commonwealth Theatre Center (CTC) and Louisville’s only HBCU, Simmons College of Kentucky. Past performance credits include Bowling for Beginners, A Streetcar Named Desire, Fences, Polaroid Stories, A Molly Whuppie Adventure, Red Riding Hood, and This is Not The Play.

Mia is a senior undergraduate at UofL in the Theatre Arts Department. She is excited to work on The Love of Three Oranges as the stage manager and head carpenter in the scene shop. With six years of experience in theatre arts, this show provides an exciting opportunity to combine her love of theatre and anime. She is grateful to work on such a unique production. Kevin Gawley
Kevin D. Gawley is the scenic, lighting and projection designer for University theatre productions and selected special events. He teaches students both theory and practical application in scenic, lighting, and projection design and technology. In addition, Kevin maintains an ambitious design career, staying relevant in the field and garnering national recognition. Kevin works to engage the local community whenever possible to broaden the UofL theatre program exposure. Kevin’s national presence, both onstage designs and as an active member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology provides technical and design students opportunities in their field. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Louisville, Kevin was Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in Scenic and Lighting Design.

Jerome is delighted to join the creative faculty, staff and students at the University of Louisville. He comes to UofL with 20 years of experience designing for live theatrical events in the disciplines of scenic, sound, lighting, projections and underscoring with over 250 credits across these fields.

Skylar Swalls
Skylar Swalls is a Louisville transplant theatre artist. Her theatrical background began with performing and now extends to sound design, stage management, arts administration, and scenic painting / design. You may have seen her as Doctor Watson in Miss Holmes or Olive Ostrovsky in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at UofL, or as Clarisse in The Lightning Thief at Clarksville Little Theatre. This is her fourth semester working in the scene shop where she was previously the scenic charge and is now props master. Skylar works in the UofL Box Office, creating flyers, websites, merchandise, and social media content for the Department. She is also the president of Studio Theatre and one of the Department’s undergraduate representatives. Skylar will graduate in the spring with a BS in Theatre Arts.

Owen Ash
Owen Ash is a Junior at the University of Louisville studying Entrepreneurship in Art & Design through the individualized major program. While his degree title remains broad, his focus of study resides in the Theatre Arts Department in the costume shop, where he primarily studies costume design & garment construction. Additionally, he also studies entrepreneurship at the College of Business and Fine Arts at the Hite Art Institute. Recently, Owen co-designed costumes for a production of Charlotte's Web at Faith Works Studios and was assistant designer for UofL's productions of As You Like It and Love of Three Oranges. He is also an experienced stitcher and wardrobe manager for many of UofL's recent productions. Lastly, Owen has been a barista for three years and is currently at 7brew as a shift lead.
