Newsies Cast

Assistant Stage Manager (Zoey Ahrens)
Zoey is a Junior. This is her third time participating in a musical at TRHS. She enjoys working in the musical because it is a great way to meet new people in various grades and make funny, new memories.
Pit Orchestra - Keyboard (Andrea Allington)
Andrea is a music teacher in the Two Rivers School District as well as the music director at Grace Congregational Church in Two Rivers. In her free time Andrea enjoys running and spending time outside with her husband and two girls. Andrea began directing pit orchestras for a theater company in Rice Lake, WI. Since then she has played and directed at numerous high schools, community theaters, and colleges. Favorite past shows include Rent, Westside Story, Chicago, The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins. Andrea is very excited to be playing in one of her favorite musicals: Newsies!
Bowery Beauty/Brooklyn Newsie (Kalysta Bauer)
Kalysta is a senior and is in her sixth musical. When she is not at school she can be found hanging out with friends or working at Starbucks. Next year she plans to go to school for optometry. She would like to thank her friends and family for pushing her to get out there and always having her back.
Hannah/Nun/Bowery Beauty/ Brooklyn Newsie (Claire Becker)
Claire is a senior and this is her fourth show at TRHS. When Claire is not on stage, she can be found doing dance team or doing the podcast/morning announcements. Claire plans to go to college next year to major in Biology(and has had her first acceptance letter!) She wishes to thank her mom for encouraging her and supporting her.
Oscar Delancey (Dakota Bielinski)
Dakota is a freshman and this is his first musical. He enjoys spending time outdoors and hanging out with his family and friends. He would like to thank his friends for supporting him when he was nervous and his family for believing in him.
Finch (Jorge Capetillo)
Jorge is a sophomore and this is his first show at TRHS. Outside of the school day, he likes to take a nap or play video games with his friends. He would like to thank all the other cast members for being so kind to him, his friends for supporting him, and his mom for allowing him to exist and supporting him.
Stage Crew (Lily Chang)
Lily is a freshman and this is her first year for stage crew at TRHS. When Lily is not behind the scenes of a musical she can be found sitting in her room watching Netflix or hanging out with her friends. She would like to thank her mom for pushing her to get involved and her friends for being supportive.
Police Officer/Brooklyn Newsie (Mikayla Clarke)
Mikayla is a sophomore and this is their first show at TRHS. They would like to thank their friends who have supported them this whole year and their family for being amazing role models. Mikayla would also like to thank their entire cast for making them feel like they belong.
Bowery Beauty/Goon/Brooklyn Newsie (Jade Cowdery)
Jade is a freshman. This is Jade’s first show at TRHS. Other than theater, she enjoys singing and taking advanced classes. She hopes to someday go to college to study and become a professional actor. Jade would like to thank all her friends, family, and teachers for always pushing her to be her best.
Mike (Jordan Crosslan)
Jordan is a senior and this is her third show at Two Rivers High School. Outside of school, Jordan spends lots of time working and hanging out with her many pets. Jordan plans to go to school next year to become a trauma surgeon. She would like to thank her choir and musical friends for always making her feel willing to try new things and encouraging her when things might not go as planned.
Seitz/Brooklyn Newsie (Madison Crosslan)
Madison is a senior and this is her fourth show at TRHS. She enjoys going out with friends and family or being outdoors. She would like to thank her dad for always supporting her and pushing her to do her best.
Henry (Camara DeBauche)
Camara is a senior and this is her fourth production at TRHS. She loves to get involved and is a member of show choir and Hope Squad and is the president of the Art Club. Camara spends her summers as a camp counselor. She plans to study environmental science after graduation. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Stage Crew (Cova DeBauche)
Cova is a freshman and this is her first show at TRHS. Off the stage, Cova can be found as a counselor at Camp Evelyn, in Art Club, or playing volleyball on the JV team. After high school Cova would like to go to college to be a flight attendant or pilot. Cova has participated in youth theater with Treehouse Theater, where she met Warren for the first time. She would like to thank him for being an amazing person and director.
Manhattan Newsie (Alex DeWitt)
Alex DeWitt is a senior and this is his third show. When Alex isn't on stage he spends his time working, or riding his longboard. He plans to go to college for business and to be a realtor. He would like to thank all the kids in the theater program for making a safe space for him to be in and his choir teacher for always pushing him to do his best no matter what.
Brooklyn Newsie (Christian Dodge)
Christian Dodge is a freshman and this is the fourth musical production he has participated in. Outside of school, he likes to hangout with his friends, go outside, and play video games. Christian is interested in pursing an acting career. He would like to thank his Mom, his Grandma, and his siblings for their support.
Stage Manager (Savannah Donati)
Savannah is a senior and this is her third musical with TRHS. She is excited to be in the role of stage manager this year and has loved being in the “behind the scenes” parts of each production. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, and archery. She would like to thank her parents for their full support of their nerdy daughter and her friends for always being there to make her smile.
Nun/Brooklyn Newsie (Metadel Edwards)
Metadel is a sophomore and this is her first show at TRHS. Metadel enjoys being on the cross country and track team, going hiking, having a good time with friends, and pretty much anything that involves exercise and adventure. She also finds joy in traveling to all the places of our beautiful planet we live on. She is extremely excited to be playing a Brooklyn Newsie in the show because the dancing and singing are very fun.
Katherine Plumber (Natalie Edwards)
Natalie is a senior at TRHS. When Natalie is not performing, she can be found baking, spending time with friends, and traveling lots. Natalie plans to go to school next year to become a sonographer. She would like to thank her parents, family and friends who have come to support her, castmates, directing staff, and most of all, Mrs Meulbroek who has worked so hard to make this a successful and enjoyable show.
Race/Graphic Design (Alice Ehle)
Alice is a senior, and is sad to see this be her fourth and final show at TRHS. Alice has participated in numerous musicals with Treehouse Theater, as well as their Junior Theater Festival Team. Alice created all of the promotional artwork for this production including posters, website, t shirt and memorabilia design. In her free time Alice loves to sleep, listen to music, write cool lettering, read, travel, and watch movies. Newsies is Alice’s favorite musical and she can’t believe she gets the chance to perform in it as Racetrack. She hopes you enjoy the show as much as she does!
Buttons (Susie Ehle)
Susie is a freshman at Two Rivers High School. This is her first show here but she has done many more as a part of Treehouse Theater. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends and jump roping. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Stage Crew (Alexandria Fallon)
Alexandria Fallon is a freshman. This is her first time working on a stage crew and she’s very excited! She would like to thank the actors and Mrs. Meulbroek for working so hard on the musical. She will do her best to help make the show a success!
Albert (Anna Gallagher)
Anna is a senior and this is her third show at TRHS. Outside of theater, Anna is on the cross country and track teams and loves to spend time with her family and friends. Anna plans to go to college after high school. Anna would like to thank her parents for their support and her castmates for making this such a fun experience.
Nun/Guard/Brooklyn Newsie (Ava Gilbert)
Ava is a sophomore and this is her second show at TRHS. When she’s not a rehearsals she can be found spending time with friends, drawing, or reading. She would like to thank her friends and family for always being supportive of her aspirations in life.
JoJo (Sophia Gleason)
Sophia is a sophomore and this will be her fifth show. She is nicknamed Ellie by her theater peers. When Sophia is not on stage, she can be found drawing/painting or playing video games. Theater has always felt like another home to Sophia and she thanks her castmates for that. She would also like to thank her family for supporting her through each performance.
Pit Orchestra - Saxophone (Colin Griffin)
Colin Griffin is a senior at TRHS and this is the second show he's played in pit orchestra for. When he's not playing his instrument he can be found in the pool with the TRHS boys swim team or on the baseball field with the TRHS boys baseball team. He plans to go to college next school year to become a mechanical engineer. He would like to thank his family and friends for their support. He would also like to thank Ms. Honeck for directing the pit.
Nun/Bowery Beauty/Spot Conlon (Quintella Groothoff)
Quintella is a sophomore, and while this is her first show at TRHS, she has been in multiple performances with TreeHouse Theater in the past. In her free time Quintella likes to draw, read, and play guitar. As many shows as she has been in, this is the one she is most excited for and is PROUD to lead the Brooklyn Newsies!
Pulitzer (Joaquin Guynes)
Joaquin is a senior and this is his third show at TRHS. When he’s not at rehearsal, he can usually be found at cross country practice, out getting service hours, or doing the metric ton of homework he usually has. Joaquin plans to go to school next year to be an anthropologist. He would like to thank his classmates for making his senior year as fun as it is, and his parents for all their support.
Specs (Alondra Guzman)
Alondra is a senior and this is her fourth musical at TRHS. She is in band, choir, and show choir. In her free time she likes listening to music and taking pictures. After graduation she is thinking about going to college for interior architecture. She thanks her family for their support and the cast and crew for making rehearsal fun and exciting.
Wiesel (Ryan Hansen)
Ryan is a teacher at TRHS and this is his first show! When Ryan is not on stage, he can be found spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, or watching the Packers and Brewers win. He would like to thank his castmates for being awesome and fun to work with, and his wife and kids for their support in this endeavor...especially his daughter Morgan who was the inspiration for giving this a try!

Christina is a sophomore and is her first show at TRHS. Christina plans to go to college to become an accountant. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Woman/Brooklyn Newsie (Alesha Hassemer)
Alesha is a sophomore and Newsies will be her first ever musical (besides the summer school shows when she was 7, of course!) She likes several forms of art, including painting and sketching. She plans to become an author or an editor when she graduates. Most importantly, Alesha would like to thank her mom and dad for pushing her to try things that she never thought she could do, her grandma for always supporting her no matter what, and her friends for convincing her to audition in the first place.
Stage Crew (Ariana Hill)
Ariana is a sophomore and this is her first show at TRHS. She is very excited to contribute to the musical and help the cast and crew. She would like to thank her friends, specifically Zoey A., for encouraging her to join this year and try something new!
Mr. Jacobi/Brooklyn Newsie (Amber Jennings)
Amber is a sophomore. This is her first show at TRHS. In her free time she loves to spend time with her friends. She would like to thank her mom and friends for always pushing her to be the best person she can be.
Goon/Brooklyn Newsie (Kaylee Jensen)
Kaylee is a freshman and this is her first show. When she’s not at rehearsal you can usually find her shooting hoops, at track practice, or somewhere by a lake with a fishing pole in hand. She hopes to someday join the police force. She would like to thank her middle school choir teacher Mrs. LaFond for building up her confidence and encouraging her to audition for this show!
Ike (Paige Jeske)
Paige is a freshman and this is her first show at TRHS. She participated in all of the TRHS summer school shows in middle school. Paige dances with The Jean Wolfmeyer School of Dance and frequently participates in Treehouse Theatre productions. She would like to thank our amazing choreographer Crystal and our director Warren, and music director Mrs. Meulbroek, for making this all possible. Paige would also like to thank all of her castmates for helping to make this show a great one!
Mush (Abby Jonas)
Abby is a senior at TRHS. When she’s not at musical rehearsal she spends time with friends and family and works at Lucky Paws! She plans on going to school next year at UW Green Bay to become an elementary school teacher. She would like to thank her parents and Autumn for encouraging her to go out of her comfort zone and join the musical during her sophomore year. It has become one of her favorite things to do. She would also like to thank all of her castmates for becoming some of her best friends.
Tommy Boy (Blake Kaiser)
Blake is a Junior and this is his second show. He likes to play video games, loves music, and also really loves making food.
Stage Crew/Lights (Ellenore Kroscher)
Ellenore is a junior and this is her second show as a member of stage crew. She'll be working the lighting booth this year. In her free time, she is often writing or interacting with others. Ellenore plans to go into either law or forensic science in her future. She would like to thank Nelson for always being there for her, along with Scarlet for providing so many fun stories.
Crutchie (Codey Lai)
Codey is a sophomore in Lighthouse Learning Academy and this is his first show at TRHS. When Codey is not on stage, he can be found reading, playing guitar, working on a computer program, hunting or listening to music. He would like to thank Mrs. Meulbroek, Crystal, Warren and his castmates for making him feel welcome at the high school.
Romeo (Alexx Lee)
Alexx Lee is a senior and Newsies is his first official musical with Two Rivers High School. Outside of his time with theatre Alexx enjoys playing video games or spending time on a future novel. Alexx intends to go to school for psychology and intends to become a forensic psychologist. He thanks his choir teacher and choreographer for always making sure he feels safe and comfortable on the stage and encouraging him to keep his head up, never letting him doubt himself.
Davey (Dion Limon)
Dion is currently a sophomore at TRHS. He has done two theatre projects in the past, but Newsies will be his first true high school show; which he is very excited for. He is also in the TRHS Show Choir and Concert Choir, which he is so thankful he gets to be a part of, (even having to wake up at the crack of dawn). He can’t wait to perform this November!
Morris Delancey (Micah Logan)
Micah is a freshman and this is his first full length production. His previous theater experience includes the Two Rivers summer school shows. In his free time he enjoys watching videos and playing videos. He hopes you enjoy the show!

Jasmine is a freshman and a first time member of the stage crew. She also participates in track. In her free time she likes to play football and spend time with her friends.

Darcy/Bowery Beauty/Brooklyn Newsie (Kathryn McDonell)
Kathryn is a sophomore and this is her second musical at the high school. In her free time, she is busy cooking, painting, and reading. She would like to thank her father for being her #1 supporter and her friends for always pushing her to go out of her comfort zone. After she graduates she plans to go to culinary school to help her achieve her dreams of becoming a chef.
Pit Orchestra - Trumpet (Jaelee Messman)
Jaelee is a junior and this is her first show. Jaelee is a member of the pit, but also helped paint the scenery for the musical . Outside of the pit, she participates in jazz band, esports, and works a part time job. After high school Jaelee is interested in studying art or illustration. She would like to thank her best friend who supports her through everything.
Pit Orchestra - Saxophone/Set Decoration (Mr. Meulbroek)
Mr. Meulbroek has been teaching band for fifteen years with eleven of those years being at LB Clarke Middle School. He has been playing in pit orchestras since he was in high school and enjoys getting to play side by side with his former band students. Mr. Meulbroek has also helped make costumes, props, and painted sets for the last 13 musical productions at TRHS. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family.
Brooklyn Newsie (Katie Naegele)
Katie Naegele is a freshman and this is her first show with TRHS. She also participates in Treehouse Theater and has been in seven shows there. When she isn’t on stage she spends time with pets and family, likes to read and write and watch scary movies. She would like to thank her family for always having faith in her and her cast mates for always making her feel welcomed.
Brooklyn Newsie/Goon (Deja Oliver)
Deja is a senior and this is her very first show. In her free time she likes to read and hang out with her friends. She plans to become a CNA. She would like to thank her friends for encouraging her to audition, and her mom for helping overcome her stage fright. .
Pit Orchestra - Bass (Mrs. Otte)
Jessica Otte has been playing bass for almost 30 years. She currently plays in the Sheboygan and Manitowoc Symphonies and with the Lakeshore Big Band. Throughout her musical career, Jess has played in rock bands, church groups, jazz combos, big bands, given private bass lessons and has been in the pit orchestra for a multitude of musicals. When not consumed by musical productions, Jessica likes to spend time with her family and puppy, cheering on the Brewers, and doing yoga. She is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the TRHS performance of Newsies.
Splasher (Caliana Owens)
Caliana is a junior and this is her third show at TRHS. When Cali is not on stage she can be found reading or hanging out with friends. She plans to further her education in child care/elementary education. She would like to thank her parents for always being so supportive and guiding.
Les (Harmony Parker)
Harmony is a senior and this is her third show at TRHS. Harmony is also involved in TRHS’s show choir and concert choir. Other interests include psychology, sociology, english, and journalism; she hopes to further her education in one of those subjects. She would like to thank her family, friends, and boyfriend for supporting her throughout the show
Bunsen/Brooklyn Newsie (Montana Polin-Felsman)
Montana is a senior and this is her third show at TRHS. In her spare time, Montana likes to draw and write. Montana has plans to go into college next year and study Psychology. She would like to thank her family and friends for always being there and believing in her, especially her sister Morgan.
Pit Orchestra - Clarinet (Charlee Rohrer)
Charlee is a Junior at TRHS. Charlee has been playing the clarinet since 5th grade and this is her first show. Charlee is in the Rising Phoenix program and wants to go to college to become a dentist. She would like to thank her Mom for forcing her to stay in band.
Bowery Beauty/Brooklyn Newsie (Kathryn Ruhbusch)
Kathryn is a freshman and this is her very first musical. In her free time she can be found playing piano or spending time with her family. She would like to thank Mrs. Meulbroek, Crystal, and Warren for making this so fun and helping everyone no matter what. They don’t have to do this, but they still do. They are amazing!
Bill/Stage Manager/ Mayor (Bergen Schmid)
Bergen is a freshman and this is his first show. Bergen is also a member of the cross country team. He hopes you enjoy the show!
Manhattan Newsie/Scab (Breleigh Schultz)
Breleigh Schultz is a sophomore, and this is her second show with the Two Rivers High School. Breleigh is highly passionate about theatre and the logistics of singing, dancing, and acting. Newsies is also one of her favorite musicals! Some of her hobbies include art, literature, and sports. Breleigh also competes with the TRHS track team. She would like to thank Mrs. Meulbroek, Crystal, and Warren for making this show possible.
Roosevelt (Mr. Slattery)
Mr. Slattery has been a middle school teacher in the Two Rivers Public School District for the past 27 year and has taught all of those years at L.B. Clarke Middle School. During his years of teaching, he has taught Social Studies, Math, and Reading. He currently is teaching 8th Grade Integrated Studies. Mr. Slattery has been in a few previous productions, but nothing at the high school level. He is very excited to be a small part of the Two Rivers High School’s performance. In his spare time, Mr. Slattery builds furniture, works with stained glass, rides many miles on his bicycle, and reads as much as he can. He has been married to his wife, Mary Kay, for the last 25 years, has two children, Erin (graduate of Two Rivers High School) and Colman (Two Rivers High School Senior). Mr. Slattery would specifically like to thank his wife, Mary Kay, for helping him prepare for his part in this year’s production. He realizes that he would not be able to do this without her support and encouragement.
Pit Orchestra - Flute (Karly Stechmesser)
Karly is a junior and this her first show with the Pit Orchestra at TRHS. Outside of school, Karly keeps busy volunteering with the various organizations she is involved in, reading, and spending time with her friends, family, and cats. She would like to thank her brother, Griffin, who encouraged her to join band and has always pushed her to improve.
Jack Kelly (Ethan Stokes)
Ethan is a junior and this is his third show at TRHS. Outside of school, he loves to take part in local theater, as well as playing board games. Ethan has been in 21 Treehouse Theater productions, and has been a member of their Junior Theater Festival Team for six years. In 2018 Ethan was cast professionally in the national tour of "Finding Neverland". He spent nine months on tour before returning to Two Rivers to begin high school. Ethan plans to go to college to pursue a degree in Musical Theater. He’d like to thank his family for being so encouraging, his castmates for always showing up with a positive attitude, and his production team for putting on such an awesome show!
Manhattan Newsie/Scab (Mackenzi Stokes)
Mackenzi is a freshman at Two Rivers High School. Though this is her first show at TRHS, she has been in about 30 shows in her life. She has also been a member of Treehouse Theater's Junior Theater Festival Team. This has definitely been one of her favorite productions to be a part of. She can’t wait to "Seize the Day"!

Breanna Struck is a freshman and this is her first show. She would like to thank her dad for teaching her everything she needs to know and would like to thank her mom for encouraging her to explore new things.
Nunzio/Snyder (Brady Stuebs)
Brady is a sophomore and this is his second production. When Brady is not on the stage you can find him watching Netflix, playing video games, fishing, or hanging out with his friends. Brady is interested in becoming a high school teacher. Brady would like to thank his parents for supporting what he does.
Policeman/Brooklyn Newsie (Carly Taddy)
Carly is a sophomore and this is her first show. Outside of the musical, she likes to listen to music and come up with stories. She would like to thank her parents for pushing her to audition for this musical.
Stage Crew (Jillian Thomas)
Jillian is currently a junior at TRHS. She has been in a variety of shows including Treehouse Theater, however this is her first year on stage crew. When Jillian has free time she enjoys going out with her friends, cooking, and spending family time.
Manhattan Newsie/Scab (Reece Timm)
Reece is a sophomore at TRHS and this is her first non-covid production. Besides doing the show, she also plays volleyball. She would like to thank her friends and family for pushing her out of her comfort zone to try something new.
Stage Crew (Addyson Treptow-Robinson)
Addyson is a freshman and this her first time working on stage crew. Next year she would like to audition to be on stage as part of the cast. In her free time she likes to spend time with her sister and her friends. She also enjoys playing minecraft. After high school she hopes to study Oncology. She would like to thank her sister, Dad, Mom and Grandma for always supporting her.
Nun/Medda Larkin (Kiarah Treptow-Robinson)
Kiarah is a senior at Two Rivers High School and this will be her fourth show at TRHS. She has also participated in the summer school theater program as well as other shows throughout the community. In her free time Kiarah enjoys dancing, hiking, and traveling. Traveling is what she plans to do after graduation. She would like to thank her Mom, Dad, and Grandma for always supporting her goals and dreams and her best friend Tabby for hyping her up and giving her courage before auditions.
Pit Orchestra-Percussion (Mason Weina)
Mason Weina is a junior and this is his first show that he has been a part of. He carries interest in music, along with many other forms of art. He is currently learning how to play the piano and the quads, with possible plans of learning the guitar as well. He would like to thank his friends and fellow band members for helping to motivate him to pursue more in the music department.
Elmer (Mydasia Zipperer)
Mydasia is a junior and this is her third show in the TRHS drama department. When not in musicals, Mydasia dances at Jean Wolfmeyer Dance Company, is on the dance team, and is a scout in Scouts BSA troop 6925. After she graduates, she hopes to move on to college to be a high school English teacher. Mydasia would like to thank her parents for allowing her to dance and be in this production, as well as her friends for always supporting her.
