Songs from the Brink Cast

Lauren C. Lopez (Woman 1) is a Cuban-American actress, singer, dancer, and choreographer from Miami, FL, with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Florida International University. She is thrilled to be making her debut with True Mirage Theater and this incredibly talented cast! Favorite past credits include In the Heights (Vanessa), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Esmeralda), and 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Logainne) among many others. Film: Summoning the Spirit (Blue). She would like to thank Nicole, Francesca, Daniel, and the rest of the team for believing in her to be a part of telling this story. She would also like to thank her loving support system and all those who helped her get to this point. Mostly she would like to thank this amazing cast for sharing their talents and stories and for helping her grow throughout this process.

Eliasess Leon is excited to be working with True Mirage on this premiere production of Songs from the Brink. He will be attending Norwalk Conservatory in the coming fall for Musical Theatre. He would like to thank Darcy, Danny, Nicole, Francesca, and the writers for bringing this beautiful piece to life.

Darcy Hernandez-Gil is thrilled to be a part of the first cast to bring this beautiful show to life with True Mirage! She is a proud New World School of the Arts alumnus and a 2014 National YoungArts Winner in Musical Theatre. She dedicates her work to inspiring the next generation of aspiring actors, as well as uplifting her community through her work with True Mirage, which she founded with her husband Daniel. Select past credits include: Aida (Amneris - Marquee), Zanna, Don't! (Roberta- Island City Stage), Annie (Star-to-Be - Wick), Cuban Courage (Maria-Theatre Lab). She thanks everyone reading this for supporting the creation of live theatre in Miami; the composers for trusting us with their work; Francesca, and Nicole for lovingly guiding and directing us; her cast mates for their enthusiasm and collaboration on this; and she especially thanks her Mami and Papi (always), her whole family for supporting her, and of course her Danny, little Dominic, and baby Daisy for inspiring her to be better on a daily basis.
