Adithi Takkellapati (Bagheera)
Adithi Takkellapati (Bagheera) is so excited for this wonderful show given the circumstances. This is her first experience in theatre, but she has previously made videos and been in front of the camera. She would love to thank everyone who was involved and made this show happen!"
Ian Miller (Ensemble)
Ian Miller (Ensemble) is excited to be joining the cast of The Jungle Book as a wolf and a monkey. Prior to this production, Ian performed child Scrooge in A Christmas Carol and was cast in the ensemble of The Music Man with Theater Statesville. Ian is a homeschooled 9th grader and when not acting, enjoys scouting adventures with Troop 607.
Arion Miller (Ensemble)
Arion Miller (Ensemble) is having a blast “monkeying around” and “howling at the moon” with The Jungle Book cast! The homeschooled 5th grader has previously performed as “Ignorance” in A Christmas Carol and was cast in the ensemble of The Music Man with Theater Statesville and has been keeping busy during the last year as “the Doorknob” in Alice in Wonderland and “The Scarecrow” in The Wizard of Oz in virtual reader’s theater programs.
Bonita Black (Massua)
Bonita Black (Massua) is happy to be back with Theatre Statesville after being gone for four years. She is glad there are good directors like Chad who appreciates the more mature woman to play the “Old Lady” in Jungle Book. Before that, her roles were in Illinois Children Theatre with Southern Illinois College and SIUE doing Readers Theatre. She has lived in Statesville since 2001 and keeps busy gardening, painting, making quilts and singing.
Johnny Sherrill (Baloo)
Johnny Sherrill (Baloo) Hi! I'm Johnny. I play the part of old Baloo. When I'm not playing a part, I am a stained-glass artist and a member of Mt. Sinai Evangelical Methodist Church. I was honored to play one of the "Scrooges" in "A Christmas Carol" for three consecutive years. This is my sixth project with Theater Statesville.
Emma Sohovich (Young Mowgli/Ensemble)
Emma Sohovich ( Young Mowgli/Ensemble)is a rising 5th grader at Cool Spring Elementary School. Her first experience with theatre came in the 2019 with Theatre Statesville's A Christmas Carol where she played Tiny Tim. She was looking forward to being a part of the Ensemble of Theatre Statesville's performance of The Music Man, which unfortunately was cancelled due to Covid-19. Emma loves playing volleyball, soccer and spending time with her family and friends. She has two guinea pigs named Dustin and Chandler and a chocolate lab named Sally. She is looking forward to being in many more plays in Theatre Statesville!
Julia Cable (Kaa/Ensemble)
Julia Cable (Kaa/Ensemble) is so happy to be back with Theatre Statesville. Jungle Book is one of her all-time favorite stories and Kaa is a dream role. She is thrilled to be among people again, especially dramatic people. She hopes you enjoy show.
Craig Dutremble (Hathi/Ensemble)
Craig Dutremble (Hathi/Ensemble) is making his Theatre Statesville debut in Jungle Book. Favorite roles include The Child in The Emperor’s New Clothes. Craig is an online content creator and enjoys volunteer role-playing. His favorite thing about Theatre Statesville is the great people. Thanks to my wife, kids and the rest of the pack.
Max Viera (Ensemble)
Max Viera (Ensemble) is a 4th grade student at East Iredell Elementary. This is Max’s second time performing with Theatre Statesville. He played Turkey Boy in A Christmas Carole in 2019. Max loves to play video games, draw and create his own comics. He loves to perform and can’t wait for The Jungle Book to hit the stage.
Josh Doyle (Rann/Stage Manager)
Josh Doyle (Rann/Stage Manager) is honored to be brought on as Stage Manager for this amazing rendition of Jungle Book! They are also making their debut as Set Designer and Builder for this show! They would love to thank Chad, Sharon and the rest of the board for putting their trust into them. Also to the amazing cast for making this show so easy to manage for!
Keeleigh Underwood (Fielding/Shere Khan)
Keeleigh Underwood (Fielding/Shere Khan) is excited to play the part of Shere Khan. She has performed with Theatre Statesville in A Christmas Carol in 2018 (Ignorance) and 2019 (Fan). When not on the stage, she loves to read books, play piano, pet her cat, Austin, and play video games.
Lucy Caudill (Ensemble)
Lucy Caudill (Ensemble) is 10 years old and enjoys playing piano, playing tennis, and reading. Her favorite book is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. She has a younger sister and a younger brother. This is her first performance with Theatre Statesville.
Matthew White (Price/Akela)
Matthew White (Price/Akela) was originally from Southern California and has been involved in theatre since his childhood even attending Governor’s School for drama in 1997. He most recently performed as “Bob Cratchit” in A Christmas Carol with Theatre Statesville and was cast in the Quartet in The Music Man. Matt is excited to be a part of The Jungle Book playing Akela, opposite wife Rebecca, and leading his little pack of wolves. When not acting, Matt works for Home Instead, as a lead caregiver, where he is proud to help change the face of aging.
Zoe Sigmon (Mowgli/Rudyard Kipling)
Zoe Sigmon (Mowgli/Rudyard Kipling) is extremely excited to bag her first lead role as Mowgli/Rudyard Kipling in this production of The Jungle Book! Zoe’s theatre experiences include the role of Lily Cratchit in Statesville Theatre’s The Christmas Carol. She was also part of Music Man but pandemic happened. Zoe plays ukulele and acoustic/electric guitar. When not acting, she performs solo, in open mic and with a band (Artemis) in the LKN area. Mikayla Lenahan (Hanley/Tabaqui)
Mikayla Lenahan (Hanley/Tabaqui) is making her theater debut in the Jungle Book. Mikayla is a 6thgrader at ARS and has a passion for the arts. She also enjoys playing volleyball and with her puppy, Ellie. She is grateful to her family and friends for supporting her in her first show!
McKayla Cable (Dari/Ensemble)
McKayla Cable (Dari/Ensemble) McKayla is an alum of Theatre Statesville having started with TS in 2016 at the age of 8 when she appeared in War of the Worlds. She has also been honored to portray Ignorance, Tiny Tim and Miss Charleston in The Christmas Carol since its beginning. She is very happy to be back on stage and back with people again!
Rebecca Miller White (Mother Wolf)
Rebecca Miller White (Mother Wolf) is originally from Greensboro, North Carolina where she trained in classical ballet and other dance disciplines at Greensboro Christian Arts Academy. She is a graduate of King College in Bristol, TN with a degree in Bible and Religion and is the Director of Children’s Education at Arbor Dale Presbyterian Church in Banner Elk, NC. Rebecca has performed professionally with The Bristol Ballet Company, Morning Star Classic Biblical Theater, Barter Theatre, Ashe County Little Theatre and has been teaching, choreographing, directing, and producing for 25 years, including the original productions: For His Envy, In The Beginning, and Immanuel: The Promise. Rebecca along with her husband, Matthew and three children: Ian, Eli, and Ari enjoyed participating in A Christmas Carol and The Music Man with Theater Statesville and is excited about performing Mother Wolf in The Jungle Book.
Kathryn Foxx (Crofts/Ensemble)
Kathryn Foxx (Crofts/Ensemble) would like to thank Chad for casting her as the role of Croft’s in the Jungle Book. Kathryn has been acting in shows since 2019. She was in Nunsense as Sister Amnesia which was her first role. She was also in Christmas Carol as The Town Crier. She made a cameo appearance as a waitress in Company. She was Ensemble as one of the Pick A Little Ladies in Music Man and also Frances in 5 Women Wearing the Same Dress. She also did backstage work as the Props Mistress for The Diary of Anne Frank. The Props Mistress and Assistant Stage Manager for Moon Over Buffalo. She was Props Mistress for Company as well. These were all part of Theatre Statesville. Kathryn is very grateful to be a part of the Jungle Book and can’t wait for everyone to see it. She is thrilled to be working Chad and with the cast and crew.
Michael Cable (Willies/Ensemble)
Michael Cable (Willies/Ensemble) is made his debut with the Theater of Statesville in the “War of the Worlds”, then in “Willy Wonka” and several years in “Christmas Carol”. He has performed several different church plays over the last 14 years Including “Walk to the Stable” at New Salem Methodist Church. Michael plays the Trumpet, Flugal Horn & Cornet and has performed on stage most of his life. Michael helped create and start the “The Lake Norman Big Band” which still performs today in Mooresville.
