Into the Woods Cast

Hunter Tabor (Baker)
Hunter Tabor (Baker) is a junior at BHSS. He was recently in Sounds of South’s productions of Oklahoma! (Will Parker) and is looking forward to performing in Les Miserables (Javert) in October. Hunter performed in over a dozen plays and musicals before high school, playing the title characters in Pinocchio Jr., Shrek the Musical Jr., and James and the Giant Peach Jr. In addition, he has been in Into the Woods Jr. twice (playing the Narrator, Wolf, and Cinderella's Prince). When not singing onstage, he can be found running cross country, studying philosophy/ethics, and performing magic.
Charlie Smith (Baker's Wife)
Charlie Smith (Baker's Wife), a junior, is so excited to be playing the role of the Baker’s Wife in this year’s production of Into The Woods! While this is her first show with Theatre South, she has sung with Sounds of South since her sophomore year, and some of her favorite past roles include Aunt Eller in Oklahoma and the Evil Stepmother in Batchelor Middle School’s production of Into the Woods. She also dances on South’s varsity dance team.
Jacqueline Smith (Cinderella)
Jacqueline Smith (Cinderella) is a senior at South, and has been studying voice privately since the age of 10. She is a four year member of Sounds of South. She performed as Julie Jordan in Carousel, and Laurey Williams in Oklahoma! Jacqueline is also a four year member of the dance team, and is currently one of the captains of the team. She also participates in National Honor Society and Habitat for Humanity. Jacqueline plans to study voice and biology at a four year university after graduation.
Elise Erwin (Little Red Ridinghood)
Elise Erwin (Little Red Ridinghood) is a 15 year old freshman at Bloomington High School South this year. Aside from the endless video collection of her singing in the kitchen as a child, Elise has been in 11 musicals. Some of her favorite roles have been Sam (Paradox Circus) and Bullfrog (Honk Jr.). She’s looking forward to her debut as Little Cosette (Les Miserables) with Sounds of South in the spring. Elise has worked closely with Stages Bloomington and participated in Bloomington Expressive Arts Training (BEAT) for five years before high school. Elise would like to thank her family for always supporting her - specifically her dad for being her chauffeur - her amazing friends, and the wonderful team that makes this possible. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Helen Schomacker (Jack)
Helen Schomacker (Jack) is so thrilled to be playing the role of Jack in their fifth Theatre South show. You might’ve also seen them as Percy in “The Lightning Thief” or as Lucy in “13: The Musical” with Stages Bloomington. When not performing, they enjoy drawing, dancing, and rehearsing their Tony Award acceptance speech in the shower. They’d like to thank their brother and the incredible cast and team of directors of “Into the Woods” for all of the support, and they hope you enjoy the show!
Elly Axsom (Witch)
Elly Axsom (Witch) is thrilled to be playing The Witch in Into The Woods. She is 17 years old and has been performing since she was 6. She has most recently played Sally Jackson in The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical and Kendra in 13: The Musical. She has performed in various productions with Stages Bloomington and many others. Elly competes in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Scholarship Organization where she has won the title of Miss Collegiate South’s Outstanding Teen. She uses her platform to educate youth on how the arts have a positive affect on our mental health. She hopes to continue growing in performing as she gets older. Elly would like to thank Jenn Cristy, her family, and directors for the support the continuously show her!
Noah Kerr (Narrator/Mysterious Man)
Noah Kerr (Narrator/Mysterious Man) is a senior at Bloomington High School South. Over the past four years, he has participated in two musicals, the first being in the ensemble of “Beauty and the Beast” with Sounds of South. The second show was with Theater South (and co-produced with Stages), and he was cast as Chiron/Mr Brunner in “The Lightning Thief: A Percy Jackson Musical.” He was also in the Theater South play “Almost, Maine” last fall as Lendall/Daniel. Theater has allowed Noah to express himself in ways he didn’t think were possible, and he’d like to thank his friends and family for always supporting him along the way. This will be his last show performing for Theater South and he can’t wait to share this experience with the public.
Callum Miles (Cinderella's Prince)
Callum Miles (Cinderella's Prince), Baritone, is a member of Sounds of South, a 4.0+ honor roll student, Vice President of Student Council, a member of the BHSS XC and Track teams, and a Dance Marathon Executive. Since the age of eight, he has performed in eleven IU Opera Theater productions, most notably Rodelinda (Prince Flavio) and The Music Man (Winthrop). Additional community theater credits include Frankenstein (William), Oliver!, and Mary Poppins (Michael Banks) with Cardinal Stage. An alum of St. Charles, Cal enjoys playing violin, banjo, fishing, woodworking, and sailing. Enjoy the show!
Matthew Schacht (Rapunzel's Prince)
Matthew Schacht (Rapunzel's Prince), an 18 year old senior at BHSS, is excited to be returning to theater after 4 years. Matthew enjoys playing tennis and going sailing in his free time. He’s looking forward to studying psychology at (hopefully) Marquette university.
Zoe Gray (Jack's Mother)
Zoe Gray (Jack’s Mother) is currently a Sophomore at Bloomington South. She has participated in three Theater South shows, Velvet Ropes, Almost, Maine, and now Into the Woods. She has been a part of numerous shows around town, at school, and at Stages Bloomington. Aside from theater, Zoe is a competitive figure skater and is on the Bloomington Pride Lacrosse team. She is very excited for everyone to see Into the Woods as it tells an interconnected fairytale with lots of twists and turns. She hopes everyone loves the show just as much as she does!! Enjoy!!
Tiana Hicks (Cinderella's Stepmother)
Tiana Hicks (Cinderella’s Stepmother) is excited to be back on stage for her fourth Theatre South show. She is a junior at Bloomington High School South. Her favorite part about acting is being able to get your adrenaline pumped up and being able to escape. She hopes you enjoy the show as much as she enjoys performing it!
Lilah Streiff (Florinda)
Lilah Streiff (Florinda) is a senior at BHSS. This is her second theatrical production with Theatre South and she is so excited to be in the show. In her free time she loves to paint, draw, and sing. She'd like to thank her friends and family for the support she's received working to make this show happen.
Natalia Shepin (Lucinda)
Natalia Shepin (Lucinda) is a Freshman at BHSS. As a ballet dancer with 14 years of training, she has studied various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, Spanish dance, character dance, and Irish step dance. Natalia has performed in The Nutcracker with IU Ballet (2021 and 2022), Ballet Chicago (2019) and Moscow Ballet (2015). She has also performed with the Joffrey Ballet Academy, A&A Ballet, and Dance Center Evanston. Musical productions that she has previously been in include The Trials of Alice in Wonderland (Mini Alice) and Into the Woods (Florinda). Natalia loves performing on stage and hopes to one day take her talents to a professional dance company or Broadway.
Jessie May (Cinderella's Mother/Giant)
Jessie (Cinderella's Mother/Giant) is a junior at BHSS. Into the Woods is her first show with Theater South, and she has been in Matilda the Musical, Carousel, and Oklahoma. When she is not performing, Jessie runs for the cross country and track teams at South. Jessie is a three year member of Sounds of South, and next year she will be playing Cosette in Les Miserables.
Sye Hogan (Wolf)
Sye (The Wolf) is a Sophomore at Bloomington High school South. They switch between helping with the Back Stage and performing. More recently, Sye played the roles of Kronos and Gabe Ugliano in “Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief: The Musical”. In their free time, Sye plays in the school band and plays Dungeons and Dragons, as well as cooking.
Aspen Furr (Granny)
Aspen (Granny) is very happy to return to Theater South with a whole new kind of role. They have never played an old woman before, and they are very excited to do so. To add on to their excitement, Into the Woods has always been one of their favorite musicals, and they can't wait to share it with more people in this community.
Cricket Shelton (Rapunzel)
Cricket Shelton (Rapunzel) is a freshman at South and is so excited to be performing in her second Theatre South production! Previously, you may have seen her as Rhonda in Almost, Maine. She began theatre at age three as a “Spoon” in a production of Beauty and the Beast. She has performed in more than 20 shows, with her favorite role being Annie. In addition to performing, she loves basketball. She would like to thank her family for all of their love and support through this process and hopes you enjoy the show!
Delaney Kamstra (Steward)
Delaney Kamstra (Steward) is excited to be in their fourth Theatre South Production! Delaney has been in three Theatre South Productions before and is happy to be in Into The Woods. Delaney is a junior at Bloomington High School South and enjoys hanging out with friends!

Logan (Cinderella's Father) is excited to once again reprise his role as not only a horrible father figure, but also a bovine creature in the most recent theater South production, into the woods.
