has worked in Knoxville community and professional theatre for over 30 years as a director, music director, actor and playwright and is a 1989 graduate of the University of Tennessee with a BA in Theatre. His most recent directing credit is Wait Until Dark at Theatre Knoxville and past directing credits include Night Must Fall, Happy Ending, Hay Fever and It’s a Wonderful Life. He was recently was seen in the cast of Something Rotten with Tennessee Valley Players and Murder on the Orient Express with Theatre Knoxville, and has music directed The Fantasticks, The Music Man, Little Shop of Horrors, Chicago, Little Women: The Musical, Peter Pan, Grease, Into the Woods and many more. His original short play, Snallygaster, is part of Chicago’s New American Folk Theatre’s Jubilee dramatic anthology about life in Appalachia, and another short play, Black Balloons, recently won best screenplay at The 10 Show Film Festival in Provo, UT. He loves comedy and is very happy to spend some time in the zany world of farce with all these other funny people.

is president of the board of directors at TKD. She has a degree in theatre & anthropology from UTK. She's been with TKD for 4 years as an actor, director & company costumer. Amanda Hammer studied Musical Theatre at Trinity College. She went on to train at American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, Michael Howard Studios in NYC and Upright Citizens Brigade (improvisation) in NYC. Favorite roles include Joanne in Company, Lily Vanessi in Kiss me Kate and Liz Essendine in Present Laughter. Amanda is thrilled to be on the other side of the stage for this production. She has loved learning from Barry and Sarah and working with this incredible cast. She is the mom of two budding young performers and is very grateful for the support of her husband - who takes care of those young performers while she is at rehearsal.
