Big Ethel Satterwhite (Donna Shoun)
is delighted to be making her debut with A Doublewide Texas Christmas. She loves theatre but it’s been quite a while since she performed. Her last role was Annie in the non -musical production of Annie Get Your Gun back in high school, way back. She would like to thank Candace for this wonderful opportunity, as well as the entire cast for making this such a amazing experience. Also a shout out to her family and friends who have been so encouraging and supportive. She would also like to encourage people to follow their heart and try for the unexpected. You never know who you will inspire!
Haywood Sloggett (Tom Ireland)
Tom Ireland was a late theatre bloomer at the age of 58 appearing in his first role as Murray the cop, in Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple. Smitten by the acting bug, Tom has appeared in numerous roles since. Among his favorites are Norman Thayer, Jr. in On Golden Pond, Jonathan Brewster, Arsenic And Old Lace, Dr. Watson, Sherlock Last Case and Gunner Concannon, in The Outgoing Tide.
Patsy Price (Windie Wilson)
Windie Wilson is delighted to be back on stage LIVE with this fun cast & crew. A long time theatre enthusiast, Windie’s recent performances include Millicent in TKD’s virtual Statistical Reasoning, Ethel in Barefoot In the Park with TKD, Cassandra in Vania, Sonia, Masha, & Spike with Free Spirit, and Duchess Berwick in Lady Windermere’s Fan with WordPlayers. Norwayne "Baby" Crumpler (Eric Collins)
is a Middle Tennessee native who is excited to make his TKD debut. His credits from various theatres in Middle Tennessee include A Time to Kill, Nobody's Perfect, and various musicals including RENT. Eric would like to thank the cast and crew for welcoming him to the TKD community and his wife for her steadfast support.
Caprice Crumpler (JoAnn Damiani)
JoAnn is very happy to be returning to the TKD stage. She made her first appearance here in All In The Timing, which was also her first show in Knoxville after moving to the area from Washington state. You may have seen her at Flying Anvil as Berta in Boeing, Boeing, or more recently as Anne Marie in A Doll’s House Part 2 at Encore Theatrical Company. The rehearsal process for this production has been nothing but fun and hilarity. JoAnn would like to thank Candace for the opportunity, the cast for being So. Much. Fun. And her husband Jim, for encouraging and supporting her in this crazy passion of hers. Enjoy the show, and have a very merry Christmas!
Joveeta Crumpler (Sarah Campbell)
Sarah Campbell (Joveeta Crumpler, costumer)- is the newly elected president of the board of directors here at TKD. She holds a degree in theatre & anthropology from UTK. She has a 20 year history in Knoxvilles' theatre community, including working with TN Stage Co. & Actors Co-op @ the Black Box Theatre. She's been with TKD for 4 years as an actor, director, and the company costumer. She is thrilled to be back onstage & would like to thank Candace for this opportunity. She hopes you enjoy the show. Lark Barken (Eleanor Weedman)
Eleanor is thrilled to be playing the role of Lark! This is Eleanor’s first show with TKD and she is so excited to be working with this talented community. You may have seen Eleanor recently on various stages around Knoxville, including Shakespeare on the Square or the Irish Arts Theater Company. When not on the stage, you can find Eleanor catching up on the latest book series (Murderbot is a definite recommendation!) or going on walks with her Great Pyr, Bear. Eleanor would like to give a shoutout to wonderful director Candace, stagemanager Bee and castmates for all of their hard work. She would also like to thank her family for being so supportive. She hopes the show brings you lots of good laughs and festive joy!
Georgia Dean (Justine Link)
Justine hails from Gettysburg PA, where she cultivated a love for the visual and musical arts from the young age of 4. She spent her high school years escaping to the arts and drama department and found herself creating sets, sewing costumes, and assisting the director in multiple productions. Justine’s only formal training was an acting class presented by the president of her college, Burman University. As she grew more confident in her talent and coordination, she became the drama director for campus ministries for two years while completing her undergraduate. In recent years, Justine prioritized her career in environmental and alternative education. She currently works at the Knoxville Montessori School as an administrator and is working towards a Master of Education. as a transplant to Knoxville this is Justine’s fist production with theatre Knoxville and is stretching her talents by playing Georgia Dean
Nash Sloggett (Tristan Brown)
Tristan Brown is very excited about doing a second show with TKD. Some of his credits that he is most proud of are his roles of Jack in Lord of the Flies, John in Dark of the Moon, and Dr. Montague in The Haunting of Hill House. Tristan is currently a teacher that is working on his TEFL certification to teach English abroad. He would like to profusely thank his parents for the undying support, as well as Candace for allowing him the opportunity.
