Director
Anna Rachel TroyAnna Rachel Troy (she/her) is a Chicago-based director, designer, producer, and educator. She is the founding Artistic Director of Theatre EVOLVE, a co-founder of Chicago Artist Atlas, and a faculty member at Green Shirt Studio.
Her directing work spans Iowa, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Chicago, with notable productions including POTUS (Green Shirt Studios), Krugozor! (World Premiere, Theatre EVOLVE), and Twelfth Night (Theatre EVOLVE). She also created The Practicum, a directing workshop focused on skill-building and collaboration.
Outside of theatre, Anna’s costuming work has appeared in Chicago P.D., Chicago Fire, Empire, Shameless, and HBO’s Somebody Somewhere. She holds a BFA in Acting with minors in Directing and Costume Design from Oklahoma City University.

Assistant Director
Kaeli MenoKaeli Meno (they/she) is a Queer and Chamorro theater professional with an emphasis on new work. They are excited to be working with Theatre Evolve for the first time on MedeaMedeaMedea with Kaeli has previously assistant directed on the Thanksgiving Play (Steppenwolf). Recently Kaeli’s writing was developed in the (W)rites of Summer (Story Theatre) and the Valdez Theater Conference.In other capacities they have worked on Rust (Goodman Theatre), Hummingbird (Chicago Children's Theater), Playground Chicago, and Make/Believe Festival (Ghostlight). Originally from Alaska, Kaeli received their Bachelors in Theater and History from the University of Alaska.
Stage Manager
Gabrielle OwensGabrielle Owens (she/they) is delighted to return to working with Theatre Evolve after previously stage managing their productions of Krugozor and The Hatmaker’s Wife. When she’s not in a theatre, she can frequently be found writing short stories, working as a dog walker, or playing DND. Other past credits include: Richard III (Babes with Blades), Oh the Places You’ll Glow! (Second City), Labyrinth (Broken Nose Theatre), Language Rooms (Broken Nose Theatre).
Assistant Stage Manager
Charlotte DaviesCharlotte is thrilled to join her first Theatre EVOLVE production as the Assistant Stage Manager for MEDEAMEDEAMEDEA. Charlotte is a Chicago-based writer, sometimes actor, and stage manager who most recently worked on a production of POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive at Green Shirt Studio. She is preparing to direct her first film this summer.
Production Manager
Elliott PucketteElliott Puckette is a director and theatre artist based in Chicago, IL. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and trained through internships with The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey Summer Professional Training Program, American Players Theatre, Forward Theater Company, and the Young Shakespeare Players. They have worked with Wisconsin and Chicago theatre companies including Nonsense Productions, Whoopensocker, Renaissance Theaterworks, Forward Theater Company, StageQ, and Music Theatre of Madison. Recent credits include directing MAYBE TOMORROW (Patchwork Play Festival) and BLOODSHOT (Nonsense Productions). Production Dramaturg
Hailey ScottHailey Scott (she/her) is a dramaturg and theatre scholar based in Chicago, originally from Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She began studying theatre at the University of Arkansas, graduating with distinction in 2019. There she began a focus on theatre history that then led her to the practice of dramaturgy. Following this passion she then pursued a Master of Arts in Theatre Studies at Baylor University, graduating in 2023. From 2016 to present she has worked in various libraries, using that experience to enhance her work as a dramaturg. She is very excited to work with Theatre EVOLVE on MEDEAMEDEAMEDEA.
Intimacy Director
Ali Foley
Ali Foley (she/her) is a Canadian-American performing artist based in Chicago, Illinois and Toronto, Ontario. A wearer of many creative hats, Ali has worked as an actor, improviser, singer, dancer, and instrumentalist in regional theatres and on sets across North America - from the beaches of Florida to to mountains of Alaska.
Ali is currently earning her MFA in Acting and Creative Writing certificate at Northwestern University and graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory in 2015. On the side, she is pursuing her 200-hour yoga teacher training and Intimacy Coordinator certification.
Technical Director and Props Designers
CJ JelaginCJ Jelagin is a Chicago based scenic and prop artist, and is thrilled to be working with Theatre Evolve. They have previous experience in scenic carpentry with companies such as Stagedoor Manor, as well as personal experience in fiber arts, sculpture, and other fabrication techniques. In their spare time, CJ can often be found attempting new crafting projects or simply spending time with their cat.
Scenic Designer
Rose JohnsonRose Johnson is a Chicago based scenic designer. Previous credits include: Bottle Fly (Jeff Nominated), Wolves, Agnes of God (Jeff Nominated), The Great Khan (Redtwist Theatre), The Secret Garden (Theo Ubique), S. Paradox (BWBTC), Hamlet (Red Theatre), Murder Rewrote (Hell in a Handbag), The Hatmaker’s Wife (Theatre Evolve), Party at the Pantheon, Lane Call (Factory Theater), On the Twentieth Century (Blank Theatre). Rose is an ensemble member at Redtwist Theatre. Up next: Big Time Toppers with Theatre L’Acadie.
Costume Designer
Janine CaseyJanine Casey (she/her) is a costume designer based in Chicago, IL. She graduated from Lawrence University in 2024 with a B.A. in Theater Arts and a minor in French. For her senior experience at Lawrence, she played the role of Celia in Shakespeare's As You Like It. Post-graduation, she went on to work as a costume and wardrobe intern with Door Shakespeare for their productions of Romeo and Juliet and Emma. She is passionate about earth-friendly costuming by upcycling clothing and using materials that already exist. Outside of theater, she trains for running races and makes jewelry.
Lighting Designer
Ellie FeyEllie Fey (she/her) is a 23 year old lighting designer and electrician. She graduated from The Theatre School at DePaul University in 2023 with a BFA in lighting design. Ellie’s design credits include Lobby Hero (Shattered Globe Theatre), Tell Me on a Sunday (Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre), The Lifespan of a Fact (Oil Lamp Theatre), By the Way, Meet Vera Stark (The Artistic Home), The Cottage (Citadel Theatre), Fizz and Ginger (Chicago Fringe Opera), Prelude to a Kiss (Theater Above the Law), and Witch (The Artistic Home) for which she received a Non-Equity Jeff Award nomination. Playwright
Oliva BuntaineOlivia Buntaine is an award-winning playwright and poet who focuses on themes of liberation after violence. Through plays, poetry, and creative non-fiction, Olivia works most often in the universes of queerness, girlhood, and survivorship. Her work has troubled stages in Los Angeles, New York, Denver, and now Chicago! A rhapsodist at heart, she often sees contemporary political struggles sneaking through the cracks of classical literature and mythology, and in her writing aims to rip those cracks wide open. She's obsessed with Theatre EVOLVE and so grateful for the opportunity to reckon with the terrifying and beautiful Medea.
