TWV Academy Scholarship Fund

Help the upcoming actors and actresses of the 2024 Theatre West Virginia Academy by sponsoring a dream!

We believe that no one should be held back from following their dreams, especially when it comes to pursuing a career in acting. That's why we are establishing a scholarship fund, and we need your donations to make it happen.

The Theatre West Virginia Academy will be offering classes starting in January 2024 and ending with a final showcase in April 2024. We have a variety of classes available for participants to choose from.

For just $150, you can sponsor a student to take one class of their choice. If you're feeling more generous, a donation of $175 will allow a student to take two classes, and for $200, they can take up to three classes. Consider donating today to help.  Every dollar is given goes back to the academy. The classes we will be offering are as follows:

1. Beginning Acting: This class is open to students in grades 1-5 who want to learn the basics of acting and performance.

2. Vocal Technique: Open to students ages 12 and up, this class focuses on developing proper vocal techniques for singing and performance.

3. Musical Theatre: Designed for students ages 8-18, this class combines acting, singing, and dancing to prepare students for musical theatre performance.

4. Middle/High School Improv: This class is dedicated to teaching improvisational skills to students in middle and high school.

5. Acting for the Camera: Open to all ages who want to learn how to act in front of the camera for TV productions.

And for the FIRST TIME EVER,, we are offering an Adult Improv class for those who have always wanted to explore their comedic talents.

All classes will be held at the Paw Paw Tree Building on Kanawha St. We aim to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for students to learn and grow in their acting abilities.

If you are interested in helping us reach our goal of providing scholarships to aspiring actors and actresses, please reach out to Gayle Oaks at 304-992-9085 to learn more about scholarship opportunities.
