Based on the hit 1992 film, HONEYMOON IN VEGAS is a hilarious new musical featuring a score by Tony-winning composer, Jason Robert Brown. Mild-mannered Brooklynite, Jack, promised his dying mother that he would never get married, but that was before he met his incredible girlfriend, Betsy. Haunted by a fear of Mom's retribution, Jack avoids proposing but, when he finally summons the nerve to whisk oh-so-patient Betsy off to Las Vegas to get hitched, a dashing gambler named Tommy threatens to sweep his fiancée away to a life of luxury in Hawaii.

The Rockaway Theatre Company

Mission Statement:

The goal of the Rockaway Theatre Company is to provide low cost, high-quality theatrical productions for the public and a chance to experience live theater for many people who would otherwise not have this opportunity. We welcome  performers of all ages, and all races, to showcase their talents. We try to encourage black and minority students and performers to join our company and help us to reflect the multi-racial city in which we live.

Theatre has always been a place for expression of ideas and emotions. The stage has historically been a safe haven in which diverse and marginalized peoples could express themselves freely. The Rockaway Theatre Company has always respected and cherished our black and brown members. We are appalled at the brutal murder of George Floyd and other African Americans before him. We firmly stand with Black communities across our nation in their plea for justice. It is our intention to add the words, "We welcome and encourage racial diversity in all areas of theater" to our mission statement.

Inequality, racism and bigotry cannot be tolerated in the arts or in any other area of modern life. The R.T.C. is committed to justice, equality and change.

Moving forward, we will do all that we can to advance these values and to make them hear us!
