Jenni Taylor-Perry (Maureen Johnson)JTP is making her second trip across the Intrepid stage as ‘Maureen’ and is glad to be back! When JTP is not playing your favorite narcissistic bisexual, she is frolicking on her mini farm petting chickens and growing sunflowers! Big shout out and thank you to her most perfect and gorgeous wife, Crys! And today, for the first time, her 3 children will get to see her ass on stage! Literally!
Erika Odykirk (Joanne Jefferson)This is her 13th performance in the Flint area and the 2nd with Intrepid Theater. This show is one of her all time favorites and she is thrilled to be a part of it. Previous appearances include ‘Julia’ in The Wasp Closet (VEP) and ‘Mrs. Cratchit’ in A Christmas Carol (Bay City Players), plus behind-the-scenes work on VEP's Ride the Cyclone and 1984. By day, Dena is a children's librarian whose toughest critics are preschoolers at storytime—an audience far less forgiving than theatergoers. She recently departed the Bay County Library System for a new chapter at the Saline District Library and will miss the local theater community (and its slightly taller audiences) dearly. Endless love and thanks to her friends and family—especially her kids, Rosie and Milo, and her girlfriend, Jori—for cheering her on every step of the way.
Graham Parker (Ensemble)Rent has been a bucket list show for Graham longer than he's even been interested in theater. He has performed in Mamma Mia, Amelie, The Spitfire Grill and An Evening With Shel Silverstein among others. He has absolutely zero formal training and for that, he apologizes. He is very excited to be sharing the stage with his son, James, once again. He would also like to thank his wonderful partner Taylor for making life that much more enjoyable.
James Parker (Ensemble)is returning to the stage after over three years. He has been in a handful of performances through his lifetime, including Mamma Mia, Hansel and Gretel, and Time and Time Again. Outside of theater, James enjoys playing golf and lifting weights. He is excited to portray the character of ‘Kieth’ as best he can.
Joy Marble (Ensemble)Rent marks Joy’s second performance on stage, having previously played ‘Hatti’ in The Wasp Closet. A versatile member of the theatre community, she is typically found behind the scenes. Past tech credits include; creating the artwork for the play ART, building the turkey for A Christmas Carol, and handling props for Robin Hood and 1984. Joy is thrilled to be a part of this talented ensemble and thanks the cast and crew for a wonderful experience. A special thanks to my family for all their love and support.
Karla Froehlich (Ensemble)Barber, massage therapist, actor, singer, dancer, stand-up comedian, cradle yoga enthusiast, Scorpio, besties with Mitch and Susan-gone but not forgotten, roommates with sis, Kathi, two dogs, and three cats. Been on stage since age three. So many shows, concerts, fun, and friendships. Highlights: ‘Reno’ in Anything Goes (Flint Community Players), ‘Francis’ in No Sex, We're British (FCP), ‘Naomi Ginsberg’ in HOWL (UofM-Flint), ‘Edith Frank’ in The Diary of Anne Frank (Flint Youth Theatre) Being in RENT has brought to light unresolved grief for friends lost to the AIDS crisis. I have loved, loathed, and laughed doing this piece and appreciate theatre for always doing its job of highlighting things kept in the dark, bringing them into focus. Thanks to the love and support of the cast and crew, this entire experience will go into my "win" scrapbook, LOL.
Levi Brownfield (Ensemble)Levi Brownfield has been a part of the Michigan theater scene since 2019 and has consistently done shows in both tech and on stage. You might have seen his work in shows such as The Nutcracker (The Whiting Auditorium), Eurydice (Flint Community Players), Young Frankenstein ( Dark Room Productions), and last year's production of RENT by the intrepid theater. Levi hopes you have an amazing night and enjoy tonight's performance and would like to shout out the hard work of his cast mates and crew for truly bringing this show to life, thank you and enjoy!
Rhea Treece (Ensemble)Rhea’s first show at The Intrepid Theatre being Rent means a lot, as the movie and musical was a staple of her childhood and the first real queer representation she got to see. Past roles of hers include: ‘Bird Girl’ (Seussical), ‘Dusty’ (POTUS), ‘Lucien’ (Amélie), ‘Karen the Computer’ (Spongebob), Peter ‘Quince’ (The Rude Mechanicals), ‘Loud Stone’ (Eurydice), and ‘Osric’ (Hamlet).
