An avid fan of all things theatrical, Mr. Bissex has directed the Omnibus Players program since 2009. He has directed, designed, and performed in over 70 shows with professional, community, and school theaters. Favorite roles include Autolycus in The Winter's Tale and John Proctor in The Crucible. Favorite shows directed outside The Heights are Witness for the Prosecution and Romeo and Juliet. One life goal is to do every Shakespeare play: he's now at 22 and counting. Over the past several years, he's been especially impressed with the quantity and quality of student script-writing, and can't wait to stage more of it! This is Gabe's 3rd show at The Heights, and 6th overall. He recently stage managed for Julius Caesar, after his debut in Zorro. Outside of theater, he enjoys playing football, rugby, and reading. Gabe is eager to continue exploring his passions and snacking his way through the experiences.

A native of Bogotá, Colombia, Andrew earned his B.S. in Physical Science from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1979, then served at sea as a weapons and operations specialist on ships of the U.S. Naval Fleet, and served at the Bureau of Naval Personnel as a special assistant for reserve officer promotions. Andrew teaches all levels of The Heights Spanish curriculum. His hobbies include reading, travel, automobile restoration and home remodeling. He has designed sets for the plays since 2018, including a ten foot high Death Star for Star Wars and a ship complete with cannons for Treasure Island '24.

James Heights Drama Alumni and Cavalier Award winner. He went to Belmont Abbey College for a degree in Psychology before becoming a college missionary for two and a half years. He currently works at Gilday Renovations supporting his father's business. In college he earned the nickname "Hubcap" for throwing a hubcap across the stage.

Thomas is a smart guy who has been involved in 8 Heights productions so far. Because he practically reveres J.R.R. Tolkien, Thomas’ first play was The Hobbit. He is somewhat pyromaniacal, and loves rockets. Thomas is also an amateur engineer who sometimes breaks things. His passion for science ties in well with his role in lighting.

In 7th grade Jaden helped direct and shoot a movie. The following year he began doing lighting and has stayed with it since then. He loves sports, his favorite teams being the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Mercedes AMG Formula 1 Team.

Leo played roles in The War of the Worlds in the fall of 2023 and Treasure Island (Mr. Hawkins) in the spring of 2024, and did sound design for Julius Caesar, Saint George and the Dragon and The Blue Book of Stories. Leo enjoys playing rugby, biking, and music. Inspired by the transformative power of sound in theater, Leo aspires to create immersive auditory experiences for all productions.

This is Joseph's first Heights show. He is an avid science fiction nerd who plays piano and baseball. He is constantly composing, and hopes you enjoy the lyre music.

Charlie is a musician, composer, and multi instrumentalist. Among other projects, Charlie has worked on composing for films and plays. He is the co-creator of the youtube music project Jackson\Austin, and the bandleader of the jazz-fusion band Stereoshark. He lives in Herndon with his family.

Liam was prop designer for the Senior Studio this past fall. He plays rugby as well.

Hamish appeared as Jim Hawkins (matinee performance) in Treasure Island, and was ASM for the Tower Fools production of The Blue Book of Stories. He's got to say it's a lot easier when the number of lines you have to memorize is zero.

Brendan is a Heights lifer, and appeared as The Dragon in last year's Tower Fools production of St. George and the Dragon.

This is Connor's first ever show and he can't wait to see what his puppet looks like on stage. Hope you enjoy the show!

A jack of all trades, Mr H contributes various artistic touches that try to celebrate and share the talents of Heights men in their serious play.

Maria V. Bissex is an independent costume designer as well as an educator, musician, and all-around Renaissance woman. She has been delighted to design costumes for The Heights’ theatrical productions from Star Wars Shakespeare (2015) through Julius Caesar (2025). Jonathan Becker has performed worldwide, his work as a master teacher includes invitations from 31 institutions in 6 countries. He is the owner/operator and master mask maker at Theater-Masks.com shipping masks to educational institutions, professional theatres and individual artists in over 50 countries. Jonathan is a graduate of Ecole Lecoq in Paris, France, has a BA in Theatre from The College of Wooster, an MA in Acting and Directing from The University of Akron and an MFA in Theatre Pedagogy from Virginia Commonwealth University.
