What The Butler Saw Creative

Director
Thomas J. Kane
is a late blooming actor who is living a lifelong dream. He studied at HB Studios and hasn't looked back since. He is grateful to have been a part of many productions here with The Heights Players as an actor and director. Directing during this pandemic has presented many challenges but his cast and crew has proved resilient in overcoming them all. A big break a leg to all. And to VOH just because.

Stage Manager / Sound Design
Marialana Ardolino
is happy to join forces with Tom again for another english farce! There’s nothing like a couple of months rehearsing comedy to help with one’s mindset these days. This show marks her 18th production with The Heights Players, where she currently serves as the Member At Large.

Set Design & Construction
Gary VanderPutten
Gary has worked with director Kane on all of his shows at the Heights Players and it is always an easy and efficient collaboration. Past shows with Tom include Regrets Only, Inspector Hound, and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. When not working on sets he is busy managing the building we inhabit, a task as daunting as it is rewarding. Many thanks to his assistants - master carpenter Mike Janove and to Jan, his property (and otherwise) mistress.
Lighting Design
Alan Sporing
is enjoying working The Heights season once more. He is happy to have live theater back after a year without it. He wishes The Heights Players success in their upcoming season.

stage managed What the Butler Saw when it was first presented during our 1985/86 season. This season, she has worked props for Night Watch and Getting Away with Murder and will be doing the same for Sweat in March.
Assistant Lighting Tech / Costumes
Valerie O'Hara
is happy to be lending a helping hand wherever it's wanted on this production.
Production Props
Steven Ackerman
last worked on our season opener Casa Valentina as Assistant Stage Manager (the person who kept having to operate the turntable). He also ran lights and sound for Tom Kane's show Regrets Only. He is happy to help out on this farce, which he first saw in college in 1993. Hopefully, he'll be performing onstage again soon.
