Cecelia Auerswald  (Nell Dash)
is delighted to be a part of her first New York theater and Heights Players performance with Nell Dash. Originally from Washington, DC, Cecelia studied acting at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland, and most recently performed in the world premiere of Einstein’s Wife with Expats Theatre Company in DC. She would like to extend a special thanks to Dana for giving her a chance to do what she loves again, Joe for getting her through the tough times before we could return to live theater, and the cast and crew for being her first New York theater family. She hopes you enjoy the romp!
Qianna Brooks (Celia Peachum/Miss Pross/Wackford Squeers)
a resident of Brooklyn, NY, and a graduate of Atlantic Acting School. She is proud to be back at The Heights Players. Ms. Brooks’ favorite credits include Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike (Cassandra) with The Heights Players and The Golden Cockerel (Russian Lady) with American Ballet Theatre. She is the founder of Bragging Rights for Women, a community that aims to normalize self-promotion among women and girls. Qianna gives many thanks to the cast and crew of Nell Dash for making Fall 2021 a fall to remember.
Miranda Cashman (Polly Peachum/Bill Sikes/Tiger Brown/Mr. Jaggers)
is excited to be making her debut performance at the Heights Players in Nell Dash. Her notable roles include Vivie (Mrs. Warren’s Profession), Megan Woods (45 Seconds From Broadway), Hamlet (Hamlet), Caliban (The Tempest), Portia (The Merchant of Venice), and Puck (A Midsummer Night’s Dream). Miranda thanks Dana, Marialana, the entire cast and crew, and returning audiences for bringing the magic of theater to this production of Nell Dash.
Michael Fewks (Toby Muzzle/Miss Havisham/The Beadle/King Stanley V8)
is making his return to the Heights Players after a 20 year absence when he was Howard in "Moon Over Buffalo". He has a Masters degree in Acting from Brooklyn College. During his hiatus he performed as a Stand Up Comedian around NYC. He was most recently seen as one of King Lear's knights in the RSC production at the BAM.
Bullseye, the dog/Narrator (LaRena Iocco)
is pleased to be returning to more "traditional" theatrical endeavors after a long hiatus which included touring in the U.S and internationally as a clown with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus and Kinoshita Circus. Born and raised in California, this is LaRena's NYC and Heights Players debut.
Michael Janove (Fagin/Mr. Brownlow/Dr. Grimwig/Abel Magwitch)
Started his journey in 1966 at Cecilwood Summer Theater in Fishkill New York and has been acting ever since. Off-Broadway credits: Our Town (Simon) and Lady Windermere’s Fan (Lord Augustus), 2005 NYC Fringe Festival Ponzi Man (Ike). Regional theatre credits: Cuckoo’s Nest (Scanlon) The Sisters Rosensweig (Merv), Moon Over Buffalo (George), Bedroom Farce (Ernest), The Caine Mutiny Court Martial (Captain Southard), The Crucible (Parris), Breaking the Code (Dilwyn), The Foreigner (Froggy), It’s A Wonderful Life (Clarence), You Can’t Take It With You (Da Pinna), The Ritz (Carmine). David Mackler (Dodger/Edward Ferrars/Mr.Todd/Executioner)
has appeared in Breakfast at Tiffany's (Rusty Trawler), Curtains (Daryl Grady), Crazy For You (Eugene Fodor), Detective Story (Joe Feinson), VLOG's Titanic in Concert (Hitchens), NYTF's Moondance (Perry), 42nd Street (Bert Barry), Arsenic and Old Lace (Dr. Einstein), Cuckoo's Nest (Dr. Spivey), Wendy Wasserstein's Isn't It Romantic (Simon Blumberg), and various readings, workshops, and short play festivals around town.
Nance/Estella (Isabel Maher)
is an aspiring actress living in Brooklyn, New York. This is her first production here at the Heights Players and couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the cast. A huge thank you to my parents John and Tamra for endlessly supporting me, Dana, Marialana, and everyone that helped put this amazing show together!!
Noelle Teagno (Lady Fanny Dashwood)
Noelle last appeared at the Heights Players as Mona in Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean... She is a Board Member of the Village Light Opera Group and a member of Blue HIll Troupe. Having played Nancy in Oliver! and the Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd, she feels very much at home in the world of Nell Dash.
