Mr. Hengst is in his 13th year as the Grace and Mahlon Buck Chair in Performing Arts at the Haverford School. Mr. Hengst teaches Theater Classes in the Upper School. He graduated with an MFA from the University of Illinois @ Urbana Champaign’s Professional Actor Training Program. A member of Actor’s Equity for over 20 years, Mr. Hengst has performed on Philadelphia stages for the past 15 years. Some of his favorites were Stephen Sondheim’s “Assassins” and "Sunday in the Park with George" at the Arden Theatre Company and “Of Mice and Men” and “Les Miserables” at The Walnut Street Theater. Mr. Hengst is also a professional fight director and has directed stage combat scenes for numerous Philadelphia productions. He loves watching his students discover their passions in the Performing Arts and is grateful for the faculty who work so hard to support and help them flourish on the stage. All his love to his wife Jacquellyne and his 3 children.

Rhonda Brown is in her fifth year at the Haverford School serving as the Director of Diversity Equity and Inclusion at the Haverford School after holding similar roles at The University of Notre Dame, The College of the Holy Cross, and Temple University. She holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Albright College and a JD from the American University, Washington College of Law. Her portfolio includes a role as choreographer for Godspell, supplemented by 13 years of classical ballet and tap training. A fun fact about Rhonda is that she has performed nearly every role in the Nutcracker, including the Rat King.

Victoria Gill-Gomez serves as the Technical Assistant for Centennial Hall. They are a Philly-based scenic designer and technician with an undergraduate degree from Washington College on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Focusing on scenery, properties, and costume design, previous collaborations and assistant design work include: Shakespeare in Clark Park, Lightning Rod Special, Arden Theater Company, Azuka Theatre, and Fever Dream Rep. Mr. Dex Woodward is the director of Centennial Hall and serves as the production manager/technical director for all student shows, working with the Haverford student stage crew on all aspects of the backstage production process. Dex holds a BFA in Theatre Design & Technology from Emerson College, and holds a theatrical rigging certification from the Entertainment Technician Certification Program. His previous Haverford credits include Shrek, Les Miserables, The Farnsworth Invention, The Addams Family, Something Rotten, Peter and the Starcatcher, Carousel, Willy Wonka, and The Three Musketeers.

Mrs. Fox acts as Costume Designer and Wardrobe Supervisor for The Haverford School’s theater productions. She is an Art Teacher with a Theatre Degree along with Postgraduate study at FIT in NYC. Past productions include: Les Miserables, Something Rotten!, Peter and the Starcatcher, Frost/Nixon, West Side Story, Seussical, Henry V, Sweeney Todd, and The Three Musketeers. This is Mrs. Fox’s 10th season working with the staff of Haverford’s Theater Department, and all the amazing, talented student actors. Love to C and C for always supporting me.

This is Kay’s second year at The Haverford School, having just graduated from Bryn Mawr College in May with a degree in theater. Their main interests are set and projection design as well as sound engineering. Their previous collaborations and productions at Bryn Mawr College include: Romeo and Juliet Essentialized, Spring Awakening, James Ijames Media/Medea, and their original work Vivisection. They are thrilled to be a part of the team here at Haverford. Much love to her family.
