About Harker Concert Series: Taylor Eigsti
Two-time Grammy® Award-winning (and four-time nominee) Taylor Eigsti has released 9 albums as a bandleader, in addition to appearing on over 80 albums as a sideman. In February 2025, Taylor won his second Grammy® for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album for “Plot Armor,” following a 2022 win for “Tree Falls” in the same category. He co-wrote a featured composition with Don Cheadle for the Grammy®-winning soundtrack to the motion picture “Miles Ahead” (2017). In 2024 Taylor was the winner of Downbeat Magazine’s 72nd Annual Critic’s Poll for Rising Star “Pianist of the Year.” He has performed, toured or recorded with such luminaries as Dave Brubeck, Sting, Chick Corea, Joshua Redman, Joshua Bell, Snarky Puppy, Esperanza Spalding, John Mayer, Vanessa Williams, and many more, and has been featured as a player and composer in numerous television specials, NPR appearances, movies and documentaries. This is Taylor’s fifth appearance at the Harker Concert Series.

The Harker School is a non-profit, private K-12 school in Silicon Valley that has earned international recognition for its top academics, quality teachers and students' achievements. Founded in 1893, Harker is the largest independent school of its kind in California, with a dedicated campus for each of its divisions – elementary school, middle school and upper school – in San Jose, Calif.
