Wrap up Folk Fest weekend with an evening of cosmic country and Appalachian soul as Cruz Contreras and The Black Lillies bring their celebrated Americana sound to The Covellite.

Multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter, and producer Cruz Contreras has spent nearly three decades helping shape the modern Americana landscape. With roots in Tennessee and Michigan, he first gained recognition as a co-founder of Robinella and the CCstringband before launching The Black Lillies, earning acclaim for their raw, roots-driven sound and heartfelt songwriting.

Over the years, Cruz's projects have topped Billboard and Americana radio charts, won Independent Music Awards, and received nominations from the Americana Music Association. His music has been featured on nationally broadcast programs including Late Night with Conan O'Brien, CMT, VH1, PBS's Sun Studio Sessions, Bluegrass Underground, and Mountain Stage. He's also become a familiar face at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry, having performed there more than 40 times as an independent artist.

Currently touring in support of his debut solo album, Cosmico, Contreras blends the expansive spirit of cosmic country with the storytelling traditions of Appalachian music, weaving together songs from his solo work and the beloved Black Lillies catalog.

Join us for one final Folk Fest afterparty filled with timeless songwriting, rootsy musicianship, and the kind of live performance that lingers long after the last note fades.
