Off In The Woods brings their genre-bending Montana sound to The Covellite for a night of soul, funk, reggae, and open-tuned acoustic grooves. The seven-piece band features a full horn section, drums, bass, guitar, Hammond organ, and percussion/synth textures, creating a rich live sound built for dancing and deep listening alike.

The band’s core members grew up together in Polson, Montana, on the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Reservation, and have been playing music together since the sixth grade. As Off In The Woods, they’ve spent more than 13 years touring across Montana and the Northwest, evolving from dive-bar gigs into festival and theater favorites.

Over the years, they’ve shared stages with legendary acts including George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, The Wailers, Clinton Fearon, Rusted Root, The English Beat, John Brown’s Body, and many more.

This show also lands on Layne’s birthday, so come help us celebrate one of the band’s longtime members with a packed room, loud music, and a proper Covellite-style birthday party.
