Our Kid's Birthday Cast

Tom Rodgers (Mitch Gibson)
Mitch was last seen in That Theatre Company’s production of Jeff on the Shelf. His other notable work has been as Judas in Godspell and as The Visitor in The Spitfire Grill on the Rep’s main stage. He spends most of his time serving at Chester’s Kitchen & Bar. He says he has been having a blast putting together this show and hopes you enjoy watching. Enjoy the show!
Chloe Rodgers (Suzanne Eastlund)
Suzanne is very excited to be returning to the role of Chloe Rogers in this 2nd production of Our Kids' Birthday. Suzanne is a member of That Theatre Company's Board as it's current Treasurer and appeared in all of That Theatre Company's Inaugural 2019 Season productions. She is truly grateful to be able to be performing once again and can not wait for all the amazing things yet to come for this amazing Company!
Noreen Rodgers (Michele Nyman)
Mr. Charles Slicko (Rich Dietman)
Rich is excited to be back on stage again after the COVID pause, and to be doing his first play with That Theatre Company! He has appeared in several productions on area stages, including Annie, Christmas Carol, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Suite Surrender and August: Osage County at Rochester Civic Theatre, and in 1776, Miss Holmesand The Boys Next Door at The Rochester Repertory Theatre. Rich is retired and lives in Rochester, where he spends time baking bread, running, flying, and doing volunteer work. Rich dedicates his work on this show to the Chloe’s and Tom’s of the world, who sometimes against great odds, attempt to shelter their children from the craziness of the world.
Mrs. Diana Slicko (Missy Hagen)
Reprising her role as Mrs. Slicko, Missy is so happy to be back on stage with this group. A veteran choreographer and performer (having first appeared on one of many Rochester stages over 40 years ago) she last appeared in Absolute Theatre's production of "A Year With Frog and Toad" just before the pandemic set in. She retired as RCTC's Educational Technology Director a few years back and currently sits on both the Rochester Civic Theatre's board of directors as well as Absolute Theatre's board. She spends most of her time growing her illustrating skills (her recent artwork can be found on instagram) and dreaming of a soon to be retired spouse.
Sahara Slicko (Denise Ruemping)
This is Denise’s second take on Sahara Slicko. She had previously performed the role in the original production back in 2019 and also performed in That Theatre Company’s production of Jeff on the Shelf. Denise has also been actively involved with other theatre companies, including the Rochester Repertory Theatre, Rochester Civic Theatre, and Mantorville Theatre Company. Denise enjoys acting, directing, lighting design, and writing and would like to say “Thaaaaaaaank youuuuuu soooooooo muuuuuuuuch” for coming!
Kevum Bacum (Blake Hogue)
Blake is That Theatre's executive director and is very excited about all the hard work coming together for our first full season! Blake has a BFA in Acting from U of M Duluth and lived in Los Angeles for over a decade, where he shot various commercials and TV shows, and studied, performed, and taught improv and sketch comedy. Locally, he's performed with That Theatre, The Rochester Civic Theatre, The RochesterRep, Absolute, Wit's End, Yelllow Tree Theatre, and Paul Bunyan Playhouse and directs, writes, and teaches at That Theatre (and previously The Rochester Rep). He's thankful to his appreciative fiance Suz, her two kids, and their dog Phyllis for all the support and patience while he sits in his basement laundry room office working on plays.
