The Anastasia Trials in the Court of Women
by Carolyn Gage
February 19th-23rd
Randall Theater, 2020 N. 13 St, Philadelphia, PA 19122
In this farcical and profoundly engaging feminist courtroom drama, the audience serves as the jury in a case against the five women who betrayed Grand Duchess Anastasia Romanov, last surviving daughter of the Tsar of Russia. This quick-witted court asks the jury to consider how to assign blame, and how to hold ourselves accountable when we’ve earned it.
