Goblin Market

Book by Brandi Underwood | Music & Lyrics by Jesse Hampsch

Directed, Developed and Choreographed by Dylan Cole

Additional Lyrics by Christina Rossetti

In 19th-century London, poet Christina Rossetti and her two brothers must navigate financial hardship and the loss of their father. At the same time, Christina struggles to break through the male-dominated art world while dealing with her own writer’s block. A dark romantic myth begins to manifest when tragedy strikes a newfound love. Goblin Market, a semi-fictionalized portrayal of the life of Victorian poet Christina Rossetti and her famous poem of the same name, is a brand-new musical created and composed by members of our Abbott MFA in Musical Theater program.
