Micah Wolfe (Vanessa)
Micah Wolfe is in her first show here at Teatro Audaz! She is currently a student actor at San Antonio College in her third semester. Her favorite roles include Helena in a Midsummer Night’s Dream, Claire Ganz in Rumors and Olive in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. She is very excited to be apart of the Teatro Audaz familia!
Cynthia Rodriguez-Martinez (Nana Lupita)
Cindy is grateful to Teatro Audaz for giving her the opportunity to return to the stage after retiring from teaching in 2021. She is an alumnus of San Antonio College, the University of Incarnate Word, and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC. Active with the Extended Run Players from UIW, and Tony Plana’s Seniors in Play, on stage with Teatro Audaz, is her most happy place.
Michiko Villa (Lupita)
Michiko Villa is ecstatic to be making her community theatre debut with Teatro Audaz. A senior at John Jay High School, she found a passion in theatre and has been acting for a little under two years. Previous shows she has been in include “We Will Rock You: The Musical” as Scaramouche, and UIL One-Act Plays “Marisol” as June, and “Simply Maria, or the American Dream” as Carmen, for which she has won several UIL acting awards. Michiko will be pursuing a BA in Theatre Arts at the University of the Incarnate Word in the fall. Proverbs 16:3
Madissyn Zapata (Lupita (Alternate))
Madissyn Zapata is delighted to be returning to Teatro Audaz for a second season, with “Luchadora!” being her 6th production. Born in Houston and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Madissyn has always been involved with the Fine Arts, continuing well into high school. While being Teatro Audaz’s Resident Stage Manager, she is also Lupita’s Alternate. Since Taft Theatre’s production of “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime” was her last stage appearance, Madissyn is excited to get back under the lights. She would like to thank Teatro Audaz for the opportunity to help in telling this story and her friends and family for their patience and supporting her in her artistic endeavors.
Benito Lara (Father)
Benito Lara, MFA, is an actor and teaching artist with experience teaching acting, movement, voice for the actor, and Shakespeare. He has taught at Palo Alto College, The Ohio State University, The College of Wooster, and collaborated with the Chicago Children’s Theatre’s Red Kite Project as a teaching artist. Other experience include devised theatre, solo performance, and acting in TV commercials. Benito had the privilege to be part of a workshop of Luchadora! in 2014 when the script was in its developing stages, and he is thrilled to be part of Teatro Audaz's staging of Luchadora!
Ruby Ruiz (The Mask Maker)
Ruby Raquel Ruiz recently was seen portraying the role of Dolores at the Guadalupe Arts Centers production of Chatos Bridge and the role of Florida in the Screaming Into The Void Festival at Jumpstart Performance Company. This is Ruby's first time playing with Teatro Audaz and she is beyond excited to meet and grow with new talent. She wants to thank her family and friends for their consistent love and support. Ernesto Dominguez (Leopold)
Ernesto Dominguez is excited to be a part of the Luchadora production as well as joining the Teatro Audaz family! His favorite moments on stage include his roles as: Vanya in Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike; Nunzio in Over the River and Through the Woods; Reporter #3 in Never the Sinner; and Judge Hathorne in The Crucible. He is eager to be a part of this experience as it debuts his appearance in the San Antonio community theatre scene.
Olivia Garces (Leisl)
Olivia Jude is currently a Senior at Harlandale High school. They have been acting and singing for 7 years. Liv has appeared in over 7 plays, short films, and music videos as a lead actor. Her most memorable roles include Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Gabriela (High School Musical), and Luciana/Luz (El Barrio: Enough is Enough), and most recently Roxie Hart (Chicago). They have also been filming/editing short films for 5 years and has recently started directing shows. She will be attending AMDA College of the Preforming Arts later this year in New York to study musical theatre and content creation.
Mason Anthony Ortiz (El Hijo)
Mason Anthony Ortiz is an ATAC award winning performer recently seen as Cricket/Aquili in The Hero Twins: Blood Race at The Magik Theater. Mason specializes in fight choreography, stunt performance, and physical comedy with his extensive background in movement and competitive combat. After graduating from TAMUCC, Mason then moved to Austin to work on Feature Films as a stunt coordinator and choreographer. In post COVID, he has come back to his roots in the theater to continue the pursuit of his passion and growth in the arts and Latin Art Culture.
Miranda Valdez-Williams (Hannah)
Miranda Valdez-Williams (Hannah) is so excited to be joining Teatro Audaz for this production of “Luchadora!”. She would like to thank Teatro Audaz for another amazing experience , as well as her loving Husband, Dominick, and Family for their love and support.
Gabriel Gonzales (Ring Announcer)
Gabriel Gonzales is ecstatic to be performing in his first show with Teatro Audaz. He’d like to thank his mother for all her love and support. Previous roles include “Leopold” in “Never the Sinner” by John Logan, “Nick” in “Over the River and Through the Woods” by Joe DiPietro, and most recently, “Snug” in “A Midsummer Night's Dream" by William Shakespeare.
Danelle Gonzales (Newspaper Boy #1)
is a second-year drama major at San Antonio College. Performing has always been a big part of Danell’s life! From singing in choir performances to acting in musicals/shows such as Jeff Whitty’s “Bring it on the Musical'' and Jim Leonard’s “Anatomy of a Gray”. Danell wishes to further her career in acting and hopes to open her own local theatre someday.
Elena Valdez (Newspaper Boy #2)
Elena is thrilled to be part of the Teatro Audaz Family and making her debut on stage. She has performed in summer theater productions with NISD and will continue to grow her skills and learn from talented actors, technicians and designers. She wants to thank her mother, father and all her friends and family for their continued support in all her endeavors. ❤️
Isaias Garza (Newspaper Boy #3)
Isaías is thrilled to be performing in Luchadora! This will be the third time performing for Teatro Audaz San Antonio and loves the opportunity to act alongside so many talented artists! He wants to thank his Mom, Dad and Brother for all of their love and support and he hopes you enjoy the show!
