William J. Scott Jr. Kids Doing Shakespeare Program with newly expanded hours for your convenience.

Give your child a week of fun and learning at the William J. Scott Jr. (KIDS) program, for those children entering 5th grade through 12th grade.

Syracuse Shakespeare-In-The-Park’s one week, eight-hours per day program, lasts from Monday, July 13th through Friday, July 17th, 9 am to 5 pm daily, sponsored by the Syracuse Teachers Association.  Children have fun while learning.  The program is conducted at the Carriage House in Thornden Park.

For 21 years, SSITP has provided this exciting theatre intensive program.  All students participate in different activities including costume design, Renaissance music, English country dance, set painting, and scene study, culminating in a performance on the final day.  All children are cast in a role.  Older students (those entering 8th grade & above) receive individual performance-based coaching & development.
