You may be thinking, "I've never heard of Summit Hill Players." While the name of our organization may be new to many, our venture features veterans of the stage and crew from across NEO, and I am glad are joining us for our debut production. Summit Hill Players is a concept that I’ve been working on for awhile now: a theater company that can perform wherever and whenever a space or venue is available and interested in promoting the community arts. Our goal is to showcase and benefit local community venues—all the while providing more theater opportunities for audiences, casts, and crews. And, we plan to pick a charity for each show to donate some of our proceeds. (We’ve selected the Nehemiah Mission.) I am based in Chagrin Falls, and I’m operating from my home—in a room upstairs among my collection of programs, posters, and theater memorabilia. My intention with our company is to be mobile around greater Cleveland… honestly wherever the venues, interest, and enthusiasm for theater takes us. If an individual has a show they would like to act in, direct, or produce, let's get it done together—with minimal red tape—and lots of fun! Presently Our Town is in rehearsal at the United Methodist Church of Chagrin Falls. We have a wonderful director in Claudia Lillibridge, and I’m equally proud of the cast and crew we’ve assembled for this maiden voyage. Claudia Lillibridge is thrilled to be directing Our Town at Summit Hill Players. Claudia lives in Twinsburg with her dog, Bella. During the day Claudia works as a Sr Specialist-Program Manager for Innovation Ventures at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Recent directing credits include Curtains and Something Rotten at Hudson Players. Claudia is also a co-founder of Twin Masks Performing Arts Center, located in Twinsburg. As always and ever, she dedicates these performances to DAL.
