About Henry V

Steel City Shakespeare Center presents Shakespeare's famous history about a young English king proving his mettle to his subjects and the world around him. Shakespeare had introduced audiences to “Prince Hal” in Henry IV Parts 1&2, and now with his beloved friend Falstaff out of the picture and the crown firmly on his head, King Henry V must lead a nation and go to war with France. Steel City Shakespeare Center returns “to the Bronx” for the third year in a row with this outdoor production staged at Barry G. Schell “Bronx” Field in West View. The cast is led by SCSC veteran Christine McGrath (Pericles, The Merry Wives of Windsor) in the title role under the direction of SCSC Founder and Artistic Director Jeffrey Chips. This is an experience you will not want to miss.
