For over a century, the name of “Dracula” has stirred a variety of emotions in peoples hearts ranging from fear and terror to awe and excitement, and has captured and inspired the public’s imagination ever since its publication in 1897. 

In this newest stage adaptation, presented as a staged reading by Steel City Shakespeare Center, playwright Cole Vecchio dives head first into the pages and words of Bram Stoker’s iconic novel and combines a familiar story of “Good vs Evil” and a quintessential “Love Story” with an intimate focus on societal issues of Abuse, Toxic Masculinity, Women’s Rights, and Disease, all issues we still face today.
