Let the Right One In Cast

Greg Appel (Halmberg/ Mr. Avila)
Greg is no stranger to the Evansville theatre community. Having played many rolls, such as Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, Prospero in the Tempest, and Big Brother in 1984. An Evansville native, he spends his days as a Systems Administrator. He has a BS in Theatre and an MPA from USI. After taking 20 years off from acting in order to have kids, his wife drew him back in, and we couldn’t be more grateful that she did.
Nate Cole (Jonny)
Despite his relatively young age, Nate has been a fixture in the local theatre for several years now. Although he usually focuses on Shakespeare, as a fan of all things horror, he couldn’t pass up the chance to be part of Let the Right One In. He’s a student at IU, a drummer, and wants everyone to know that he’s the only one in the cast who can solve a Rubik’s Cube!
Rae Frasson (Swing/Movement/Understudy)
Rae is one of our new members to the STAGEtwo family and we are excited to has decided to join us for this show. Born in Rogersville, TN; she is currently a resident of Evansville and works during the day as a hostess at The Landing. Despite being new to STAGEtwo, she is a seasoned actress, having been in many past productions, including Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Annie Get Your Gun, and Any Given Monday. She would like to thank her husband who supports her no matter what!
Arwyn Horstman (Eli)
Arwyn first appeared with STAGEtwo’s production of Rent as Alexi Darling, but she’s a veteran, having been in over 20 musicals and plays since she was 11 years old. She’s studying elementary education at UE, and also loves painting and hiking when she’s not on stage.
Rocky Kay (Swing/Movement/Understudy)
Rocky, an Evansville native, started performing when she was 10 and continued on until graduating high school in 2016. She then took a break to travel the 50 states and start a family. A friend pointed her in the direction of STAGEtwo. After following the Facebook page and seeing the audition post that night, she took it as a sign to invest in her passion and get back into the theatre community. During the day, she is a full-time mother to 2 beautiful babies she adores, and a part time door dasher. She loves nature, and you can catch her constantly going for a hike or running away on a camping trip.
Gwendolyn Kelly (Nils/Movement)
Born in Tipton, Indiana, where she acted in shows all through high school, Let the Right One In is Gwendolyn’s first Evansville performance.
Dann LaGrasia (Kurt/Dad/Stefan)
Dann is brand new to the STAGEtwo family and fairly new to theatre, having been in only one show previously. He played Godot in “Waiting for Godot.” He lives in Evansville and when he isn’t at work, he like to rock and roll all night, and party every day. We are thankful he decided to share his talents with us for this show.
Linus McKinney (Micke)
At such a young age, Linus already has long list of shows he has been in. Including, These Shining Lives, Every Christmas Story Ever Told and Then Some, Matila, and Something Rotten. He wants to thank his family and friends for always encouraging him in his theatre dreams. After Let the Right One In, you can find him starring as the lead roll in his high school’s production of Blithe Spirit
Alyssa Morgan (Swing/Movement/Understudy)
This is Alyssa’s first show with STAGEtwo, although she’s performed in high school shows at Boonville and in ARG’s benefit performance of Falsettos. She works at B-Hive Printing in Boonville, loves to bake, and helps coach soccer.
Otto Mullins (Hakan/Movement Coordinator)
Otto is a longtime STAGEtwo family member, and we’re thrilled to have his talent and expertise with the moment for Let the Right One In.
Kale Rister (Oskar)
You may remember Kale from his turn as Mark in Rent last spring. A native of Harrisburg, IL, he now lives in Evansville and recently got married to Lexey, who he describes as “my best friend and the love of my life.” He loves the horror genre and was excited to expand his acting skills in a new form in this show.
Laura Roberts (Oskar's Mum)
Laura is another new member of the STAGEtwo family, and although she worked on the technical side of theatre in high school, this is her first time on stage! (Thanks to Aleigh for convincing her!) She gives a shoutout to her dedicated family and friends, because without them, “I’d have gone bananas.”
Grover Starks (Torkel/Jocke/JimmyJanne)
Grover has been performing with both STAGEtwo and the Evansville Shakespeare players since 2016. His credits are too prolific to list, but include Black Fox in Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Dr Scott in the Rocky Horror Show, and Henry Lyppiatt in Present Laughter. He is a resident of Evansville, and works as a registered behavior technician during the day. In his freetime, he enjoys gardening, foraging, drawing, and performing drag. He was drawn to Let the Right One In due to his love of vampire stories.
