About Written in the Stars

Stage Left Theater is proud to present "Written in the Stars" as part of our New Works Program, featuring Inland Northwest playwrights, composers, actors, and dancers in this cosmic celebration of storytelling artistry. From a one-act by Stage Left's own Resident Playwright, Tristen Canfield, to a ballet choreographed by Olga Kaloktev to a spacey bespoke composition by Liz Rognes, to the comedy, poetry, and art-driven performances, Written in the Stars offers a variety of voice-driven art suitable to entertain the whole family.

Submissions for this project included those that explore sci-fi futurisms through lenses that include environmental, Indigenous, and satirical. Join Stage Left for an unforgettable ensemble show that brings together and celebrates many art practices in the Pacific Northwest. Saturday's performance will include a talk-back from available writers immediately following the show!

Curated and produced by Misty Shipman.

Stage Left Theater Association

Stage Left Theater is founded on the belief that live theater provides a mechanism for interpersonal interaction not provided by television and movies, should be a force for political, intellectual and social stimulation, and should be relevant to the daily lives of the audience and the players. We seek to broaden the involvement of the general population by engaging issues of topical value and stimulating the analysis and discussion of the structure and goals of society.
