Over the River and Through the Woods Cast

Nick Cristano (David Millar)
David Millar, a transplant for Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania now resides in Spotsylvania. He has performed in many theatrical shows including: ‘Murder at the Movies’, ‘Little Red Riding Hood’, and ‘Knock 'Em Dead’. David also recently completed a hat trick in performing versions of ‘A Christmas Carol’, on the radio, in a musical and as a traditional stage play over the course of his career. He is excited to be bringing a character like Nick to life in this emotional rollercoaster of a show about family and love.
Aida Gianelli (MARY ANN BUCKLEY)
Mary Ann grew up as a foreign service brat, stationed in post-war Munich, Cold War West Berlin, wartime Saigon (briefly), DC, and Buenos Aires. She recently proved via FOIA requests that, despite the suspicions of aunts, uncles and cousins, her father really WAS just a USIA administrator and not a CIA agent! She started out as a legal editor but on an impulse went to nursing school and was a Newborn ICU nurse for decades, leading to an interest in the ethical aspects of medical care and a master’s in clinical ethics, serving on UVA Hospital’s Ethics Consultation Service while still working in the NICU. But that led to law school at age 50, after which she worked for the state of New York on the legal aspects of public health emergency preparedness – yes, including pandemics; if you Google her name and “ventilator allocation” you’ll find her. She spent time on stage in her teens, 20’s, and 30’s but the switch to 12-hour shifts and management made that impossible to schedule. Mary Ann successfully managed to avoid the community theater rabbit hole after retirement in 2014 and instead has spent the bulk of her time playing around in the fiber arts – spinning, weaving, felting, knitting. Her absence from the theater however was short lived, because of two of her five grandchildren (who actively volunteer to manage lights and sound for Stage Door shows) became involved and she caught the bug from them again, thus falling off that wagon. As of this writing, it remains to be seen whether she will want to thank them or curse them.
Frank Gianelli (JAMEY PELLIGRINI)
This is Jamey's first performance with Stage Door Productions, but he is a veteran of the stage. He wants to thank his wife, Jennifer, and family for their continued love and support. (Director’s Note: First time I met Jamey, I realized he is the spitting image of Frank from American Pickers, when he is not wearing any hair coloring. Welcome aboard Jamey – I am excited to work with you.)
Nunzio Cristano (MATT MUGGERIDGE)
By night, Matt enjoys hamming it up in local theater productions from Othello to mystery dinner theater. By day, he's an attorney, practicing in criminal, family, and immigration law. Nick Cristano (U/S) (KOBY GARCIA)
Koby has been involved in theater for over a decade as a jack of all trades, including performing. He is an amateur writer of film and comics. He can usually be found in one of three places; a dim coffee shop writing, near the stage, or waist deep in an automobile playing mechanic.
Aida Gianelli (U/S) (FOX MEALO-CORNELLL)
A relative newcomer to the theater, Fox is hoping to draw on her personal challenges and joys through life and inject them into the performance arena. Fox encourages all to continue to support community theater as a patron, volunteer, or join the cast or crew! [Director’s Note: Fox is so versatile in her roles it might amaze you to see such a young woman who can transform into a grandmother when needed.]
